Tertiary mammals and birds - idea for DLC/sequel

Hello devs,
can you please consider adding mammals and birds from tertiary period to the game?

Dinosaurs are lovely, but they are just a variations of a few basic types repeated over and over. There is not much difference if there are 80, 100 or 120 of them in the game. I didn't buy your DLCs because 5 new dinos very similar to existing ones is not worth for me for 8 EUR.

But I would definitely buy a DLC with creatures like Diatryma, Uintatherium, Brontotherium, Arsinoitherium, Indricotherium, Gomphotherium, Phorusrhacos, Thylacosmilus, Deinotherium... and I believe many players would buy it too.

I know it would take more effort than just make another stegosaurid or ankylosaurid, but it would be worth it!

I don't see this happening. At all. I also hope it doesn't.
The key assets in this game are dinosaurs for a reason.
Also, I don't see Universal allowing the addition of other types of creatures not dinosaurs into the game.
The closest game you're gonna get if you want mammals alongside dinos is PK.

Lystrosaurus is confirmed to be in Dominion, and there was a sabre tooth in Camp Cretaceous season 4.

Lystrosaurus was part of the Dicynodontia (an extinct group of mammal-like reptiles), part of the larger synapsid clade of vertebrates which includes living mammals. Its fossils have been discovered in Africa, India, and Antarctica.

KEYWORDS: Mammal-like REPTILE...
in short, a REPTILE, which lived in the TRIASSIC, one of the 3 periods of the Mesozoic Era, which included Jurassic & Cretaceous.

meanwhile, Sabre is cenozoic, I don't see that happening. Especially it debuting on a tv-show meant for kids. Doesn't hold much weight. Unless Universal, in all their wisdom decides to allow its inclusion into the game, which I doubt.

It's something that would have been considered by now, it's certainly suggested often enough. As to their plans, it's impossible to know. A JWE3 is pretty safely off the table though, given JWE2 hasn't met profit expectations.

Birds largely hinge on what happens with the Dominion feathered dinos (birds being feathered dinos themselves), if they avoid feathers with their own custom models, then I'd suspect very close to zero chance.

They've already avoided fur (technically pycnofibres) with the Dimorphodon, and I'd suspect PZ style fur would be too much for the old gen consoles to take.

1. That term "mammal-like reptiles" is quite outdated now, animals like Lystrosaurus or Dimetrodon are now called proto-mammals or stem-mammals as they are more related to mammals than to reptiles, which they are not reptiles to begin with as they are synapsids, which are by definition are one of the two major groups of animals (the other being sauropsids which includes reptiles, dinosaurs and birds), that includes mammals and every animal more closely related to mammals.

2. Even though Camp Cretaceous is a tv show meant for kids (even plenty of adults enjoy it as well), it is still canon to the film franchise, while this doesn't increase the chances of Smilodon appearing in JWE2, it does give more chances for species like Monolophosaurus to appear in the game.

I got no issue with Monopho as its a dino, my issue are those wanting Cenozoics that don't even belong in a Dino game, just because they were shown in a tv show.

Completely disagree. The amount of variation amongst dinosaurs and other Mesozoic reptiles allows for almost limitless possible additions. Right now, we only have theropods, sauropods, pachycephalosaurs, ceratopsids, stegosaurs, ankylosaurs, and ornithopods for dinosaurs, but these were not the only groups of dinosaurs. Additionally, we've only got 4 dinosaurs species from outside the Late Jurassic and Cretaceous, neglecting the entire first half of dinosaurs' evolutionary history.

I'm encouraged that it looks like Therizinosaurus will be getting added to the game (which is a theropod, but unlike any other theropods in the game). Hopefully we see some Triassic and Early Jurassic dinosaurs added to the game as well.
