Dual Stick AND throttle anyone ?

Hello fellow commanders from Athens Greece.

I' currently playing all over again on PC (Double elite on ps4) .

I got the T.16000m dual stick bundle and I m thinking to get a TWCS throttle (will be used-good as new) fm a friend at half price.

Wld like to ask if somenone is playing with Double stick AND the TWCS throttle to tell me if its wort getting it and if so any .bind file? hehe

I'm not using Thrustmaster sticks or throttle, but I do use dual stick and a throttle unit. I have hands on two of the controls at any one time. In my setup, the main reason for the throttle is for fine control of supercruise speed (without the absolute requirement for that I'd just have stuck with dual stick, and 10% throttle increments on a hat switch). I could not find alternative configurations that felt right for me.

My controls are dual VKB SCG Kosmosimas and a basic Logitech flight quadrant. The latter does the job (supercruise throttle and FSS tuning for me) but is very basic and lacks buttons accessible whilst hands are on tne throttle. No personal experience of the TWCS, but I do hear good things about it a lot.

I'm also awaiting delivery of a pair of VKB NXT sticks and the VKB THQ throttle unit all to be used on my second PC.

As for keybinds. Really, it's probably better to work out a set of keybinds that work for you. Everybody has different preferences and gameplay styles, and as you will be going through a re-learning process anyway, you might as well make it the best fit for you possible. Be sure to check out the posts on this forum detailing how to backup keybings and even save keybinds and your own named preset files. - I think one of them is at the top of this topic.

Dual T 16000m here. Wouldnt use anything else. Ive thought about using peddles but the setup works well for me. Interested how it goes.

I use both and switch between them depending on what kind of flying I'm doing. For stuff like cargo runs, I use the throttle. For combat or anything that needs more fine control I use the left stick.

Thanks for the reply everyone. Prob i ll send my wife n kid to my mother in law for the day (sat noon now) and try to figure a way to sort eveything.

Was hoping someone with a similar setup (T.1600m dual & TWCS) could pass me his bind file, so i can have somewhere to start experimenting. But no worries.

Just go a virpil setup calibrated. But I use throttle, stick and thrustmaster peddles. For the thrusters I use the small analogue stick on the throttle, for yaw the peddles. Still getting use to them as they are new, but I have noticed I am getting better controls over the yaw with my feet.

if you haven't already check the lost binds guide stuck to the top of this pc sub forum which is for horizons
and if you have odd,custom4.0 binds you can do the same method for that too and for its times 4 start preset file (for the new in game split times 4 bindings layout)
