Ships Rate My PvE Cutter

I'm going to rate your Cutter as 5/10, not because of the load-out, but because it's a horrible ship for PvE combat compared with others. A Cutter is the best hauler and miner. For combat, a Corvette, FDL, Krait and Anaconda are all better. By better, I mean more enjoyable and have faster kill rates.

Cutter's main advantage is its speed. It makes it easy (not fast, but easy) to kill any Targroid Interceptor except the Basilisk.
Its speed allows it to keep the desired combat distance.
Yes, but not so good for chasing those chaffing and boosting elite Cobras through the rocks.

So after a long time of messing around with builds, asking around here and other places and just messing around with my own testing. I think I finally got a build of my cutter that I enjoy PvEing in. But I'm not expert so before I 100% commit to the build what do you guys think of it?

Here she be.

I would say that there is one particularly weird choice if that is built for PvE combat. You sacrifice 4 separate slots to get 215 shield value from each. You do not sacrifice 1 C8 slot for the absolutely fabulous large SCBs that give 5712 shields and almost doubles your total shield value. Additionally you should engineer your lightweight bulkheads to Heavy Duty for more armor and resistances without any drawbacks. Then add a bit of thermal resistance to the shields. Those were the obvious things to me. Besides that, there are some a bit more fundamental things that I would change for PvE and those are on this one https://s.orbis.zone/iec7

PVE... Actually SCBs are not synthesized ...

Agree. This is mine:

The Beams/Multi-Mix works perfect. The 4 Beams do enough damage when the Multis are out of ammo, so you do not have to abort the fight for restocking instantly. With the SCB, you can also get yourself into dangerous situations such as teasing all 7 pirates at a mission signal source at the same time.

However, I mostly use my Vette. The two class 4 hardpoints have such a large arc of fire, that combined with her much better maneuverability the actual damage output is much higher.

Ohh that one definatly does look better. i've always just been worried about bi-weave cus I'm such a pilot and rely on super big shields to just tank all damage I cant avoid :p

Out of curiosity could I see you're Vette build?

Hmm, I might try something like this when I finally get my own vette. I guess I'll put my cutter on the back burner for now and stick with my old Krait Mk II

Yes, just try out which ship you are most comfortable with. I have two each of the Big Three: One each for combat, one each in a Multi-Role build. They all have their individual special purpose.

My combat Anaconda has a Phasing Sequence build, especially for the Wing Pirate Lord Mission Fer-de-Lances; the Vette is for mission stacking and combat zones and the Cutter for RES fighting and material collection.

Multi-Role Conda for exploring and module engineering, Multi-Role Vette for hauling missions and the Multi-Role Cutter for trading and mining.

I have really enjoyed the Krait, but always felt that one of the big four was the like, end goal. Here is the Krait MK II I've been using.

Could you please share the phasing sequence anaconda?

I rather agree, the Cutter's not a combat ship for me in the same way that dynamite isn't right for fishing, but still works.
Once I made suggestions that we be given a real battleship of the empire, capable of being on a par with the FAS, the Chief, the FDL, etc.
Some people wrote that Cutter is quite a battle ship ... and that's sad.
