CQC

I, Commander BaBaDook, respectfully request to remove power ups from CQC. With the low level of activity players end up in one on one engagements most frequently. When one player stays next to the power ups it creates an unfair advantage and does not allow the other player to get a foothold to have a competitive match. Also, the player base is divided heavily between new players and very experienced player. This prevents any new players from being able to enjoy the game or to be competitive. I feel more people would engage in CQC if the power ups where removed and game play was more about skill then monopolizing power-ups.

A minor suggestion to perhaps increase participation in CQC would be to increase the monetary gain and include engineering materials. I plan to be fully expert in every category. CQC is challenging as a new player to gain any progress because of not only the camping issue, but the low player activity. Please take this consideration seriously because It will not only improve the quality of gameplay, but player activity in CQC.

I have many more minor suggestion if you find this works well. Thank you for your consideration in this matter and for such a great game and level of commitment to the game. I hope to never see this game stop improving and I will do the best I can to support the game.

Very respectfully,
Commander BaBaDook

Ahh...another CQC thread. I believe there's already a major thread somewhere regarding CQC...

BUT... considering its been what 5 years and CQCs ONLY update (if you call it an update) is the ability to search for a match in the Comms panel whilst in open/solo/PG.

I too wish for updates but considering odyssey is the sole focus right now I don't think this suggestion is going to be noticed any time soon, if at all ..

this would not really fix anything in the ned...

The newbie would still be obliterated by the experienced player.

Believe it or not, but the matchmaking is not trying to match a newbie and an experienced player by default. it is actually trying to match similar skilled players against each other. but due to the lack of players, it ends up trying to match whatever player that is available...

This is nothing unique for CQC, just about any other game, that relies on matchmaking to create PvP matches, experience these kind if problems when there simply are to few players to run a working matchmaking.

And the sad part is, as long as there is to few players, this will never fix itself, and as long as there are to few players, many players that would enjoy this are simply not trying since there are to few players... so we are basically stuck in limbo with to few players.... I know that on consoles, there have been some player groups that have arranged CQC evenings, where they try gather as many players as possible to join, and that way, they get enough players to join, and matchmaking sort of works, and people are having a blast, and then some of the players joining that event evening joins the next days and find the empty CQC, and go crap, this why I stopped logging in to CQC...

And the sad part is, to fix this, the most logical step is to replace he non-existent players with bots. but then it is no longer you against other similarly skilled players, it is you against other bots... and we have turned CQC into an PvE game...
