Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack and Free Update 2 Coming 8 March 2022

though its nice to see Bumpy and scorpious.. what i really want to see is a CHaos that echos the cartoon with those charachters back telling their story game wise like the movie chaos theorys .. please make this happen guyys and gals at Frontier and Universal

As I've already written, the update is almost heartwarming, but I still have a few questions.

1) Will sandbox live capture expeditions be rare and random as in challenge mode or will you be able to choose to search for dinosaurs EXCLUSIVELY through them? That would be a really nice thing for DPG themed sandbox parks.

2) Will trees of different sizes be exclusive to literally EVERY environment or will they simply not be able to be placed in arid environments? I mean, can redwoods be placed in Pennsylvania or on Isla Nublar?

3) Will the raptor paddock actually contain raptors, will it be an "animated" decorative element (sounds will be heard and the plants will move without putting the Raptors inside) or will it be immobile and empty?

4) Regarding the Camp Cretaceus DLC, could you modify the game with some information about the series? For example by adding the series logo on the species pages that appear there or in capture mode and adding the characters and places to the database when buying the DLC?

5) Can you add the ability to disable sandbox fence inspection? It is the only flaw that I think has remained

6) Among the decorations, will there also be the sign indicating the marine reptiles and some famous decoration from the films such as the statue of John Hammond, the T-Rex skeleton and the giant amber fragment?

I know that many things you have not even considered, but could you think about it?

This is my biggest wish. The entire campaign/tutorial is catch wild dinosaurs and keep them safe/happy. But as soon as you leave that they make it so rare I rarely get the live captures pop up in any modes -- on easy challenge also, as it's the closest I get to a true 'fresh start', sandbox options suck so far though the update is fixing a lot, this is my final concern. Let us adjust how often the chance becomes. doesn't need to be 100% of the time having one, just increased chance so i can make a sanctuary or conservation valley, rather then create even more dinosaurs to add to an already chaotic world.

I'm glad it's getting those QoL updates. I honestly quit playing this game months ago because it was too much like work. It wasn't even a conscious decision like "That's it I'm out!", but the decision to play this or do something else was always the something else and I just kinda forgot about it.

I'm told live capture will work like in Challenge Mode, so they should have the same frequency as well. You won't be able to exclusive have live capture expeditions.
2) Will trees of different sizes be exclusive to literally EVERY environment or will they simply not be able to be placed in arid environments? I mean, can redwoods be placed in Pennsylvania or on Isla Nublar?
You have access to all tree sizes in all environments, but you won't have access to one tree from one environment in a different one. So Tropical trees won't be available on a Taiga map, for instance.
3) Will the raptor paddock actually contain raptors, will it be an "animated" decorative element (sounds will be heard and the plants will move without putting the Raptors inside) or will it be immobile and empty?
The Raptor Paddock is a decorative item. You won't be able to use it as Raptor storage, but you may see some trees swaying back and forth.

We're adding the new dinosaurs to the Database :) I don't believe we're adding the characters of places, as this pack focuses on the dinosaurs

Fence inspection? Do you mean the Status checks? You won't be able to disable them after this update, but I will pass on your feedback.
6) Among the decorations, will there also be the sign indicating the marine reptiles and some famous decoration from the films such as the statue of John Hammond, the T-Rex skeleton and the giant amber fragment?
We're adding in the Spinosaurus skeleton from Jurassic World. We'll have more to reveal about the remaining decorations in the patch notes.

Ok, thanks for the answers.

Regarding the first person view:
Will we be able to penetrate inside buildings such as hotels, observation galleries and monorails? and if so, we can walk around freely to observe the animals from all possible points of view inside the galleries.

Will we have the possibility of being able to move the Jurassic World's Gates as in the trailer and as in this image?

Great job frontier on the update and dlc. But perhaps the most interesting thing for me personally is having all dinosaurs available in sandbox. For me this is huge. Hats off to players who prefer a challenge and unlocking everything by themselves but to someone like me who enjoys sandbox it’s a awesome improvement. I will definitely be purchasing the game and all dlcs in the near future.

@Jens Erik I know it's probably late to ask before the next patch, but I'd like to report a bug: sometimes, when selecting the "random" skin and patterns options, it happens that identical dinosaurs are spawned (same skin and pattern). Would it be possible to make it so that it is ensured that no identical combinations spawn in the same batch?

Edit; since I'm here, can I ask why the spinosaurus skeleton is in, but not the t-rex skeleton from the first game? And if the RtJP aviary rocks are coming back?

I'm glad players like you finally get what they want. For myself I always liked the unlocking through playing all the different modes. But while I think the unlocking was in essence a good idea... I think they went a bit overboard. I've put around 100 hours into the game and I still haven't unlocked all of the dinosaurs. I didn't have much interest in sandbox before because there was no research and expeditions. It just felt kinda meaningless to me.

But this update seems to fix sandbox for both types of players. People that just want everything at the start of sandbox now don't have to grind. And players who want a challenge can now basically turn sandbox into a "custom mode".

You will be able to assign MVUs to patrol Ranger Posts. MVUs patrolling the area covered by a Ranger Post will automatically treat Minor Injuries and Diseases that can be cured by medical darts, as well as heal dinosaurs in Critical Health conditions.
This is a pretty big QOL improvement. Now exhibits with common cold breakouts are less of a hassle now that MVU's would go and take care of the dinosaurs that reach critical health. It makes it less daunting building exhibits with a large dinosaur population!

I dont think thats a bug. Thats just random chance. And I actually like it

You'll be able to walk up to a Viewing Gallery in First Person View and then go inside it and observe a dinosaur from the Gallery. The same should apply for Hotels and Monorails.

Random is exactly that: random - that means that sometimes you will get the same roll of the dice/skin and pattern colour.

Great! Than you for your answer!
