Game Start mode confusion

Hi all,

I just caved and decided to get the beta to play this game sooner. I am however a little confused.

I assumed that Solo = Offline, however when I went into 'free-for-all' I was in the same location as my 'Solo' game was.

From this can i logically assume that Solo is the PvE - totally non PvP online mode and that Offline mode is currently not activated (Or I just haven't found it yet)

Love the game so far, and i have managed to upgrade to a hauler (trader base) in part for the longer range

The only difference between open and solo is that you have no real, non-Npc players in solo. You can switch back and forth seamlessly.

Offline game, the far I know, isn't in yet. So "solo" mode is online, just that you'll never meet other players, but in all other ways interact with the very same universe.

Ahh, that is what I thought after changing modes. Thank you for confirming it for me.

It might be good if it was a little clearer that it was in the online universe but i am happy. I was actually concerned that I would miss out on some of the online universe stuff by playing in Solo mode.
