Its a camp cretaceous DLC, most of these objections are irrelevantI have to say , for the first time i will most likely not buy the new DLC (...at least till it comes in special offer... sometime later ! ).
The reason is that in the CC DLC is ...
1. Not a single one new Pterosaur ! (...because there was non in CC shown , but at least Ramphorhynchus would have been nice
2. Not a single one new Marine Reptile or semi aquatic creature !.... (Sarcosuchus... is in the Toyline of camp cretaceous !!! ...and was most likely cut from the last epsode of season 4 !)
3. only 1 new dinosaur !
4. only 1 new hybrid !
5. 10 € for a few new skins ( and variants, which are just a little more individual skins ) and 2 new creatures is a bit much without any NEW Attraction in my opinion !
6. The new content offered by the free update on march the 8. is muuuuuucccchhhh more interesting than the DLC for me to build nicer parks in Sandbox !!!

Last DLC not only had 4 real new species , but very cool new aniamtions... like Cronosaurs which has its own unike feedinganimation for the sharkfeeder.
Sarcosuchus would have been a great option for new cool animations, because it could have an animation for the sharkfeeder ( like a salty ... jumping for flying fox) or to catch dinosaurs trying to drink from our shallow waters of the enclosures!
The last DLC had way more different new species for less money, thats why I will get this dlc sometime later.
For a fan of the Camp Cretaceous show it´s an OK dlc, but soooo much cool possible content is not present and thats sad.
for example ....
1. No River ride....or Boat tour ( Kajak or electric boat)
2. No Tree House Hotel ( Hey isnt´t it A CAMP Cretaceous DLC ???)
3. No Cable car ( SHOWN in the show !)
4. No Zipline (SHOWN in the show ! )
5. No Camp Cretacous Characters (Daruis,Kenji, Brooklyn,Ben,Sammy,Yasmina) as Visitors or for the new 1. Person mode to walk through our Parks.
I Don´t say its bad, but there would have been much more Options for really interessting new content, as you can see.
At least the show would have opened the door to get 1 or 2 of the new Attractions I mentioned above.
But hey ...better than nothing from CC.
I get what you mean, but I don't think that's entirely accurate.
For one, much of the stuff that is made for a DLC like this happens parallel to the bug fixes an other gameplay improvements. While the artists are making new dinosaurs, programmers can be busy with their own thing. Only the implementation is where it overlaps much.
And if you look at it from a purely technical perspective. The DLC does have 4 new dinosaur models. The fact that 2 of them are technically already in the game doesn't matter in that sense. The models still need to be made. You could say the Kentrosaurus is just a remodel of an already existing model. But the same could be true for something like Wuerhosaurus. It would have saved the devs time if they used the Stegosaurus model as a base for that for example.
But because the Ouranosaurus and Kentrosaurus remodels are just new looks for existing dinosaurs they don't feel as new as a different dinosaur would.
So, technically this DLC has more content than the previous one.
4 new dinosaur models, one minor remodel (bumpy) and a number of extra reskins for existing dinosaurs.
I know we all have our grand ideas and demands for the game, but we need to rein them in a bit. Frontier are only human, and they're also working for Universal, who have final say in a lot of things. Also, and I know it may sound silly but bear with me, things like the Treehouse Hotel and Zipline were made for children and young teenagers, and without those in the game for very obvious reasons they wouldn't really fit with having grown adults using them. Believe me, I'd like to have them, too.
I can understand your point of view very well, and I ´m happy for fans of CC that a few new Species ( 2 ) and remodels ( 2 ) + some new skins are on their way for us Players !
But the free update is this time muuuuucccccch nicer than what i get for almost 10€ with this payed DLC!
And in former DLC´s for JWE I where some realy nice new Buildings and Attractions in some of the DLC´s ....best ever was for example " return to jurassic park" ihn which we got an 2 new Atraktions ( Jurrassic Tour ....like in JP I ) and the Pterodome ( Aviary) with new hotels .... the bunker and the Raptor Pen etc. .....and comparing to this dlc is the CC very minimalistic ....that´s all I trie to say. River Ride ( with Kajaks) and Cable Car ( Transport to the Hang Glider hill ) were shown in CC in many scenes and where both on the wishlist of many players for a very long time. The Treehouse would have given much more variety for hotels in the Parks. I would gladly have paid even 15€ for the DLC if just this basic new attractions would have been in it ! The 6 Campers ( visitorskins) would have been Welcome for first person mode by many fans as well.
I hope the Dominion DLC will have a few new Attractions, because this CC DLC seems very Basic to me.
Free update is a 9/10 ( Placeable Plants/ Rocks etc for the Lagoons and it would be 10/10

But yes, I would have liked some of those things you're suggesting as well. Especially the River Ride and Hang Gliders would have been really fun attractions that would have added a lot of interesting depth to how we build our parks.
But yeah, the free update is definitely more impressing than the DLC is. I will still get the DLC tho.
That ultimately hinges upon how much you weigh cosmetics compared to actual new species. 10 extra cosmetics for base-game dinosaurs may not really add more for players than a pterosaur and a marine reptile.
I Watched the preview video of the content of the Free Update and DLC and must say, that i will most likely buy the dlc too, because the Free Update gives all Players really a lot of new options to build individual parks and i want to support frontier to add more of the good ideas from this forum ! I´m really happy that 1.Person mode made it ingame finally ! ... i hope later on there will be an option that you can see your Character ( Ranger, scientist or guest) and walk 3.Person with him/her through the park, like we can drive the Jeeps and Gyrospheres in 1. and 3. Person view.
But for the next free updates and DLC´s there should be really given love to
1. ....the Decoration/landscaping options of the Lagoons ( Kelbforest, seegrass , fallen trees , rocks, waterfalls etc.) and the option to build with rocky ord beach shores without fences!
2. .... At least 2 REALLY new attractions like the "River Ride", Jurassic Boat Tour, Submarine Tour , or Heli shutlle Tour ( Existet in the JW movie ! ) .
3. .... Underwater tunels and viewingdomes or T-Rex Kingdoom treetunnel like it was shown in the JW movie, because the would be great for 1.Person mode too !
4. .... Manually Controll for the ROV and Aviary drone ( just like we have for Rangerjeeps and Renger Helis) for takeing photos and enjoy the park from an other perspective.
And I hope some more people of the world remember the words of J.L: "Give Peace a Chance !"
On the topic of things not in the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack, it's worth noting that Little Eatie's design (the brown t.rex) isn't in it. Only her mother's design, Big Eatie (the blue-grey t.rex), is in it. And nothing current in-game resembles her skin patterning. So it isn't just the two species in season 4, and whatever else (if any) will be in the next season(s), it's also another dinosaur character design that appeared alongside Big Eatie.
Interestingly, when looking at the dinosaur pack DLC, Big Eatie and Pierce are more associated of being together in general because of the cruel fight they were forced into.

As excited as I am for the new content coming with the update, I'd be lying if I said I were excited for the CCDP; two new dinosaurs and ten skins for ten dollars is an awful deal in my opinion, especially when the pack in question lacks certain creatures from the show (namely the Sino-Spino and more understandably the Smilodon), certain skins (Little Eatie is the most blatant offense given that they included Big Eatie but not her, I also find it odd that they included both Scorpios variants in the show but only one Monolophosaurus variant according to yesterday's livestream) and - I get that it's the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack but it bears bringing up - the swathes of attractions and amenities they could have pulled from it.
It's equal parts a missed opportunity and highway robbery in my book; this is the first JWE/JWE2 DLC that I'm skipping outright.

Monolophosaurus and Scorpios Rex have access to all the patterns and colors you unlocked except bioluminesene. I get what you mean of the lack of Smilodon but as others have pointed out: let him and more of his Megafauna buddies come in a PDLC dedicated to them and as for Little Eati and Spinosinoceratops well, they are juveniles at least and babies at most. Let us wait what S5 has to offer but I agree with you on the lack of JW CC buildings.
Little Eatie is practically full-grown. They could easily make an adult version of her skin.
The Sino-Spinos could just be given their own adult designs. Wouldn't be the first time Frontier made a separate design from the established canon.
I'm not at all convinced we'll see a revisit of the TV show. If that were the case, we'd probably have this pack pushed off until the show ended.
