Ukrainian flag (ship skin) in game

We do actually. In France we have many stickers of regional flag (Occitania, Basques, Corsica,...) on people's car. in the UK, The Welsh and Scots also do that, if I'm not mistaken. And in the US we have the very controversial Confederate flag, while in Canada there are people who show the Quebec flag.
None of those places have been sovereign country ever or for a long time.

It would make sense to show old country flags in the Federation, to show one cultural ancestry.

UK / England etc, also has flags / banners for Counties .g. Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cornwall etc

I am on the fence with this idea despite understanding the reasoning:
a) If one country gets it, 199 other countries also demand it. Where does it end?
b) I am not certain whether it's a good idea for Frontier.
c) It doesn't make sense in the Elite lore. There are no countries on Earth after the unification through the Federation.

1) It's a Game
2) FD can do whatever they like
3) Why not, along with any other flag that people would like - Art dept 'just' have to do it, and make sure it fits across vehicle, which isn't as easy as people think!

Not going to post a pic since it's controversial now but Confederate flag car paint jobs were not uncommon 'til recently. That wasn't even a nation if we're going to be truthful about it. Just yesterday I saw one on the back window of a truck in Australia, not even the good 'ol US of A.

U cant just run roughshot over lore in a game with this much detailed "history" when i see flag ships it looks very out of place. Its not just ukraine flag paint im agsinst its any current country flag in a game taking place ~1300 years in the future.

I don't want to be rude, but I think an IRL humanitarian crisis takes precedent over a fictional lore. Lore can be rewritten to fit anything, lives lost are lost forever. If it help you feel better, they can always say it's a "yellow and blue paint", with a striking similarity to the Ukrainian flag.

So basically your saying you dont want to let the medium of the game to be used in a way that might contribute to doing something to help in the real word- (not that I have any delusions that it will now)- because it's a violation of the lore.. right got it.
