I always remember my late mum making tea, so we can settle down together in time for Tomorrows People or Time Tunnel, think sometime in the 70s?

My earliest memory's though kids wise is like many, Doctor Who, The Clangers, Swap shop, Here Come The Double Deckers and of course The Banana Splits http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81LQnWPVqSI

i always wanted one of those motor buggy's!

Well, I'm a lot younger than you guys, Doctor Who wasn't even on when I was a kid (although I have since watched most of the older episodes as well as the new ones)...

I grew up with stuff like Art Attack and Tintin and DuckTales and this.

You never watched the first episode then :D

Oh I did, but only in my twenties. I was too young to catch it first time round. And the Banana Splits for that matter. And something similar that my brother told me about - He used to watch a show called Animal Kwackers. I saw an episode of it on Youtube and frankly, I'd hide behind the sofa if that was on now.

The horror... The horror...

Hah! A few I'd forgotten about there..

I remember me and my mate used to spin around to get dizzy and then dive on the bed to roll and around and emulate the time tunnel bit!

Got the Banana Splits and Double Deckers themes going off in my head now.

This was on in the late 60`s and i seem to remember it was on late at night but my parents were very libral with bed time. TV show was called the Gnomes of Dulwich.
I have looked for it on DVD but i believe its one of those shows that got wiped so they could re use the tapes. Basicly a story about garden gnomes played by Terry Scott and Hugh Lloyd and i seem to remember they got visited by they sexy scandinavian lady garden pixies from the house next door.

Tales of the unexpected.

Used to like that as a wee nipper. Was even an extra in one episode, as they used our school as a location (made us all wear Victorian uniforms).

Self confessed hide behind the sofa kid when Dr Who was on :D

Tom Baker was my Dr and still the best in my mind.

Tome?!! what sort of childhood did you have? :D

and on Tales of the unexpected, that was a scary program! my nightmare one was where i think it was an old lady who would drug young men, and then turn them into stuffed mannequins!..... and cool on getting a part in an episode, did you see yourself in it?

Actually i use to have loads of American Tales of the unexpected and weird tales(wish i had kept them, many are worth alot of money, i even had an org 1st prog of 2000AD when it first came out(look how much one of them is worth!)

Tom baker great, but mine was Jon pertwee.

Tome (iPhone spellcheck, grr ) :D

Don't think I was visible, the whole school was enlisted. Can barely remember it tbh. But I remember that we didn't have to do any schoolwork, made my day :D

Coincidently, on the same road was the local church which had a fete that Tom Baker opened while he was still the Dr. He came across as very nice and even presented me with a jar of marmalade.

Just to name drop a bit :D

marmalade??? Not Jelly babies? I have a Dr Who Monsters book signed by Tom Baker... pride of my collection... well I only have it... so pride and Start of my collection.
