Nothing else can/should be accepted. I don't care about cosmetics. I assume that is part of the hold up, $$. They want to sell us paint jobs again. Well go ahead.

Please Fdev, just give me my full CMDR, Rank, Reputations, ships, engineers, gear, etc.

Stop this "we are looking into it" and announce full stop whether you will work to make this happen or not. We waited 8+ months for this communication so we are not interested in platitudes for another 8+. It isn't fair to anyone. Being incapable of doing it already smacks of incompetence or greed at the time you announced this decision to move on from consoles is a huge reason why you are receiving such backlash. Not only did we wait, but it seems like you didn't even think about this concern that is obviously the first question on 99% of peoples minds.

Fdev, do yourself a favor and communicate this honestly and openly NOW.

Edit: Since somehow this isn’t clear, what I am asking for is console players being given the opportunity to transfer their CMDR fully intact to PC should they want to continue forward in the ED universe with Odyssey. You could even REQUIRE they buy the update and not just horizons for all I care.

Edit 2: Some sage suggested the whole "more flies with honey" bit. So I edited some of my rage away. o7

Do you want to spend any time or effort saving those console accounts, your paid customers and player base, by migrating them somehow to PC?

Granted, future console support is done. But they are still your paid customer base.

I would buy the game and rebuy my cosmetics if they gave full CMDR transfer.

I will not start over if they can’t do the bare minimum.

It looks to be the latter.

Not sure the point you’re trying to make? Regardless if a player wants to continue there should be an option to transfer your full account and not just credits. There is a financial incentive for them to do this.

It’s likely they just can’t which just speaks volumes about their overall quality as a developer.

Yes, hence the post requesting the ability to fully transfer CMDRs from console to PC with all our progress intact.

I have no experience of playing on console but I suspect transferring the commander data is the easy part. I'd imagine validating the human that wants to then log on as that commander is where the problem is as previously Sony or Microsoft would have done that and I doubt that under GDPR they could provide FDEV with the information required. Obviously there are ways around this, like updating the console client to give some form of one time password etc but that's more development work...

They will transfer all your credits from your console account to PC leaving it destitute. Just no ranks, ships, etc. You think the issue is something related to identifying the player?

Sorry but the fact they can transfer all funds but no ranks/ships shows that is not the issue. This data that Inara is capable of pulling is NOT hidden out of reach of Fdev and they certainly are not prevented from essentially copy and pasting it. Whether they can, idk. But no one is stopping them but themselves.

I respect the point you are trying to make but that is simply cannot be the case given what we know.

No offense, but that doesn't have anything to do with what I was answering a different person with. And as it happens I am pro your idea, it would be nice if FD do it. So please don't have a go at me because you're cross about something else.
