Just watched the streams, so there’s no need to retread the news about transfer holds, full data v credits, etc.

For players with both PC and console accounts, should the decision be made to transfer wholesale over to PC, are plans being explored to make possible a transfer from console to a new (read: 2nd) PC account (a la multiple “load/save games) rather than going straight across from one account to the next?

also, with my CMDRs currently holding the same call-sign on PS4 and PC, for both narrative and consolidation of intellectual (read: brainbox and energy consumption) resources, are plans being explored to make possible the option of maintaining both accounts under the same call-sign (a possible necessity made such only by the recent development)?

I would imagine cases like yours are some of the cases making this a less than simple operation.

If you want to transfer your console commander to a PC account, I'd suggest hanging on for now. The way Arthur mentioned it, it seems to me Frontier are looking into improving the transfer process. I am unfamiliar with how it works, but I'm guessing that at moment you don't get everything transferred, and Frontier want to improve on this, so waiting for now to see what Frontier decide on might be a good idea.

The process, as it had been explained to me, had been:

1. One-time transfer of data from platform to platform was allowed
2. Data transfer was restricted to credits

It hadn't been made clear to me whether or not the transfer would carry-over the CMDR call-sign.

As it stands, I've got a pc and ps4 account of the same call-sign
  • Started on Mac (Half-Lock)
  • FDEV's dropped support for Mac
  • Relogged onto PC
  • Started new account with Sony console forced naming (TheyTookMyMilk - you can see my Wreckfest Invisible Tractor and Outhouse videos for a laugh) (due to inconsistent PC performance)
  • Changed my Sony account-name to Half-Lock in preparation for working on my Inara narratives.
  • Kept both because now I have two first-person narratives
  • Now is happening

    It's probably one of those situations that are rare enough to be of pretty low priority and a platform switch wouldn't be all that lucrative, as I'm not purchasing a new PC any time soon and I'm in no rush to leave the game in either iteration, but its not out of the realm of possibility that the options to be made available might bear on my decision, especially the CMDR call-signs

While we’re on the topic, I linked my twitch account to my frontierstore account for the twitch drops.

Does that mean that the twitch drops went to my PC account or to my console account or both?
