You can carry on playing on console. That won't cost you anything.
Careful now as I'm not arguing with you, but two things.
1. Like facty said, they aren't turning off console access to the servers, but I get your point that you can't now buy the new dlc.
2. I'm not sure on any illegality of you not having access, as you're not paying for it. And for the other legal arguments, I don't think they'd hold any weight in a court. They're just so tenuous, yet I do know the arguments you will make, so this isn't "white knighting" - I'm just trying to save you money.

it had a cut down version of the original elite, we all managed to cope.

Having to buy a game for each platform seems to me quite normal.
You cant really expect to buy the game on PS and play it on XB.
Less normal seems to me that I heard Sony was charging you money if you wanted to play the PS5 version of a game you owned on PS4... but maybe i'm just old fashioned (the ps5 version might be a completely reworked version after all)
The only truly abandoned platform is the Mac OS client - you console folks are just playing catch up ;p
Sad as it is, I Frontier have admitted defeat in bringing odyssey to consoles. Not surprising, when you see top specced pc's struggling to run their darn outdated 'Cobra' engine thing. Sucks for xboxers and ps5ers though

You'd have to buy Odyssey on either platform. Not illegal, but it is very bad consumer practice how you get double-dipped if you end up purchasing the base game on PC because Frontier abandoned your platform.
And yes, I do agree how mind-boggling terrible it is to have consoles getting abandoned of future DLCs like this.

Who said I was sueing ? I was referring to criminal charges, and the laws in N.America are different then in the U.K.,one could argue that continuing to assert that it was coming to console, while knowing that it wasn't, adervertising that it was, even after this announcement, in the OFICAIAL trailer, in wich I got that screenshot from, is still up, is FRAUD,plain and simple

It's sad that consoles have got the push. They brought in loads of really decent cmdr's as well as much needed cash when the game needed it, but a decisions has been made and sadly they can't access new content.
Horizons still works (TBH I still play horizons as I prefer it) so nothing is getting taken away, just nothing added. You've not paid for anything that you've not received.
In the end no amount of badgering, open letters or change.org polls will reverse the decision by FD so it's a case of enjoying what you've got or moving on.

That's irrelevant. You did purchased Elite on XB (or PS). Not on PC (Frontier/Steam/Epic)
Oh another console QQ thread.
You'll have a hard time convincing anyone that was true.
Especially after they announced last year (was it in June or was it in July?) that they are suspending Console dev.
And you'd have an even harder time to convince anyone that you purchased Horizons (and you didnt enjoyed / played it at all) only because Odyssey was advertised to come on Consoles.
