Greetings Commanders!

We're now post-Update 11 and Fleet Carrier interiors are in the game! It's been an absolute joy to watch you all experiencing the jump for the first time, and wandering around the interiors, whether they are yours or someone else's! With Update 11 in the rear-view mirror, let's take a quick look at this week.

Update 11 Hotfix

We're looking to release a hotfix this week to address some of the issues discovered since the release of Update 11! We're aiming for the first half of the week for this hotfix right now, but we'll let you know concrete information soon. There shouldn't be significant downtime (think 15-30 minutes, not hours).

Fleet Carrier Bartender Material Limit

Since the release of Fleet Carrier interiors, many of you have installed and tried out the new bartender service aboard your ships. We've taken note that you think the current material limit of 100 is a little on the low side and are looking into options on that front.

Colonia Bridge Decals

The saga of the Colonia Bridge decals is over! All decals should've have been delivered last week, so if you do feel like you're missing something, let our lovely support team know!

Twitch Drops

You will have another chance to earn the quite lovely Spring Calm and Spring Lax paintjobs for the Type-9 this week when we go live this Thursday with the second episode of Frameshift Live! As a reminder, we're now streaming for around 2 hours every Thursday at 4PM UTC. Remember, you'll have to be watching on the Elite Dangerous Twitch channel to earn those drops, and you need to claim your first drop before you can start to earn your second one!

You can check out the first episode of Frameshift Live here.

Community Event Calendar

I know I said the Community Event Calendar would be live last week, but we hit a small hiccup which the web team are addressing and we should be good to roll out in the next week or two, if all goes to plan. It's going to be exciting to see all of your events begin to populate the calendar in the coming months!

The Buckyball Racing Club Presents: The Aquarian Job

There's a Buckyball race on! Get yourself over to London Relay in Epsilon Indi to begin the challenge where refueling and repairing is NOT permitted! Check out the details and get involved here.

Commander Creations

Haven't been able to catch a Fleet Carrier jump sequence yet? The Buur Pit are on hand as always! If you aren't afraid of spoilers, grab a drink, sit back, and enjoy the Fleet Carrier jump in all its glory.

Ever needed to refuel an extremely large ship? Call the Fuel Capybaras!

Ah, Elite Dangerous LEGO, the easy way to my heart. Beautiful stuff!

That's all for this week folks, see you out there.

Tritium to depot instead of via ship!

FC ATC recognising their CMDR!

Increased tritium yields from 'roids!

When do we want it? Now!

You know it makes sense! :D Just teasing :D

How do you get tritium from hemorrhoids?
Does that come from ED's overabundance of sitting?
Wasn't space legs supposed to fix that!

Does that come from ED's overabundance of sitting?

What overabundance?
They made sure you cannot use any panel nor the cmd-wheel while sitting - which is really considerate for the people with the tendency to develop a such condition

What will that "hotfix" include? Will we finally hear anything about the last frame shift drives from Colonia Bridge and how they are still missing experimental effect? Are the issues with unlocking "on-foot" engineers gonna be looked? What about the whole engineering overhaul that was supposed to happen?

Dear gentlemen of Frontier. I think it's good that they add "content" to the game, as in this case the interior of the carriers. But the truth is that I think it would be better if they improved the performance of the game. As well as the well-known bugs (such as disconnections when leaving super cruise in an extraction zone, for example, that many times I make a group with a partner and get on my ship and disconnect when jumping to super cruise or to another system, etc, etc) And to top it off, the inside of the carriers are poorly designed. I hope this all changes now that they just have to focus on the PC version of Odyssey.

How does this earning process work? Like many, I will be at work when the stream starts (may not be home before it ends in fact).

I'm not the first to ask and certainly won't be the last, but can you share any details on what will be fixed by the hotfix, or if not then when details might be available?

Thanks for the update @Zac Cocken . With the hotfix will we be able to use the Q radial menu while sitting? Or be able to interface with the captains chairs retractable panel? These things along with addressing the bartender capacity and prices would really make update 11 awesome. :)

Menus while sitting etc won't be in this hotfix, it's a larger job but the team are aware of your feedback.

you need to rack up time spent watching the streams on twitch
IIRC, you have to spend at least 4 hours (over several twitch streams) to get all the drops

Bugs from previous patches have been accumulating, without fixes. Small bugs, but annoying nevertheless. Examples:
  • The bug where you have to enter the commodities/secure trading market twice to sell to your carrier was introduced in Patch 6 (I've got a video from 1st August last year documenting it).
  • Also, when your carrier is full (approaching 25000t) and you have open Buying orders, when you try to move stuff to your ship the buying order quantities get added (instantly) to the total carrier quantity (you can see the digits change as you move the first item to the ship), which surpasses the 25000t limit and you can't move back the items to the carrier (even though they're actually below the limit).
  • The Cutter's side thrusters have lost their strength 2 patches ago (at least, I can't remember any more). Trying to land on an FC has become a dance of overcompensation, especially using the docking computer.
  • Patch 11 has removed the lower limit when you scroll down the Carrier Services list. Pressing "up" will correctly stop at the first entry of the list (Bridge Crew), but once you get to Pioneer Supplies, pressing down will close the list. That isn't the bug, however. On the parent list, instead of being on the Carrier Services button, you've scrolled down to Pilot's Handbook, as if you were scrolling on that list, too. Maybe they didn't let the code compile and check? I don't know.
Any chance of fixes for such? Odyssey reminds me of the "death by a thousand cuts" moto.

Sorry to sound bitter, please prove me wrong :)
