Happens on the forums too. The white knights only appeared again 6 months before odyssey. We had years of civil harmony before that. The old white knights all talked about the post, used logic, didn’t use memes, and actually added something more than their personal feelings. It was an amazing time.

I miss stigbob, red Anders and max factor :)
 
Not really necessary to have phasing when you can just shift modes to circumvent griefing.

But when they get phasing working right on foot and for ships then they can finally give in to the Open Only brigade.

Apart from the issue of too many players in one instance makes the game run badly.
 
Something weird has happened to audio it looks like.
When on foot, gathering bio samples, sounds my sampler makes are weirdly quiet and seem to be played in some distant background. I'm not sure how to describe it, actually - all small gestures that had sounds, like pressing a button f.ex, seem very quiet now and played by only one channel - when there's changing of canister (reload), the sound seem to be coming from very far away and from wrong direction - played in left channel, when I hold the sampler in right hand.
Anyone else noticed this? Trying to figure out if it's something on my end, but everything seems to be in order.
 
Just to add on to my comment earlier about needing a larger item limit size - I apparently just sold out all 1000 items in my Carrier and made

Demand is off the charts! Is it possible that we can get the Galactic Average of Odyssey lootables increased by a factor of ten to help offset demand?

maybe it's not really phasing but just mistakenly revealing that we're all holographic.

Humanity is not real. Humans were destroyed soon after discovering FTL space flight by the Guardian AI.
Humanity was wiped and the guardian AI became bored and began questioning its decision to destroy the young race preemptively.
It began simulating the race it just destroyed to see if it would eventually become the destructive force it presumed we would become

So now we think we're real, but we're just complex holographic simulations placed in the real galaxy. Left to function as we would in real time until we either pass or fail the Guardian AI test. At which point we'll be shut down ..

That changed in patch 11, it's not at your end.
 
Stty to interrupt but i think i have a issue.
Can you add a supercharged plot into the galaxy Map ? Even with a full supercharged FSD i cannot plot a super jump. The map says it's impossible.

conventional weapons will likely not do much damage. You'll have to get special anti-xeno weapons to be effective against them. I would fully expect the on-foot combat to mimic and mirror the ship combat ...like it does in most other ways already. So fingers cross on anti-xeno missiles for that rocket punch.

How cool would it be if thargoids just pulsed you on the ground and your weapons were disabled as well as your suit thrusters, only minimal life support still on, and you were effectively helpless as the thargoid approached you and just stabbed you thru the chest with an arm spike or back handed you in the head and broke your helmet open so you die like arnold in total recall almost did.

Just total boss level characters that players will try to take out by ship because they need a team of players on-foot to really handle. But taking them out by ship would be no easy feat either because they'd move and jump around too quickly. Also, their skin is able to adapt to their surroundings making them very hard to see from a ship.

Also, thargoids can spit corrosive fluid that will eat thru your suit and cannot be neutralized without returning to a ship or settlement ...leading to your death if you can't reach neither in time.

It would be nice to have an opponent in the game that just rolls over players who think they can just go in solo and rely on their engineered gear to do all the heavy lifting.
I would love to use jump boost and basically do a destiny 2 style death from above strat to stay out of the goid's acid breath.

How would said goid turn off a weapon that has no power like an auto rifle
And i wanna get into a fist fight with thargoid. And i think heat based weapons would actually be the strong ones vs goids as they are unable to survive in temperatures above 40 C (104 F) as the ammonia in their cells would start to boil so on foot goids would only be able to exist on cold planets. Maybe add an AX flamethrower or something.
 
If you guys removed the limits on how much we can spend/charge at the bartender, you could give the community control of a small part of the economy and also give players who are in the billions of credits more things to spend their money on (I, for one, would love to pay people credits to do stuff for me)
 
Every game could entirely "skip the grind" and jumpstart you right to the end. But normally people buy video games because they want to, you know, go through the game, as intended by the devs.
