Bogus! The game killed my ship.

I just finished winning a ground combat scenario on Takualmash C2, Vitale Dredging Base. I called my ship, boarded, and was immediately blown up by the three ground based canons. No chance to exit the ship.

WTH is up with that? Now I'm stuck with having to buy my ship back. Why were they ((the canons) even still active? It's 💩 IMO. Am I also now supposed to disable all the active ground canons in order to leave? Or was this an added feature 🙄 in the last update.

🤬 vent, vent, vent!

Never fly without a rebuy, rule #1. And then, defeating the enemy does not always convince him of it's being good for him. What did you expect? 🚀

O7,
🙃

I expected with all the enemy gone and my side winning the combat zone message, to be able to safely leave the planet. Not get blown out from under my ship trying to leave.😐
(Which should also land at the space port (if you win) IMO, but that's another issue.)

if you're not able to build or fly your own ship successfully you can always use Frontline Solutions and let the game save you. Rather than make your own mistakes and kill yourself again. HTH (y)

If the side you defeated are the ones in control of the settlement, you are now hostile to them which means their ground defence will shoot on sight. Similar scenario as if you visited a settlement that wasn't at war, killed NPCs, and tried to leave without disabling ground turrets.

Happened to me a couple of times before I twigged as to what was going on. Now l take Frontline if possible, or if I have to summon my ship after a CZ, I'll hop 500m or so away before calling it down.

Out of curiosity: did you open the Conflict Zone Battle Stats window at the end of the battle?
The window that shows the credits rewards and reputation changes.

Yes, I take a look at it each time (mostly to clear the nag). I'll look more closely to see if there's some warning next time.

One thing to note, the canons didn't start firing till after I ran 400-500 meters out of the settlement and boarded my ship.
Next time, turn the power off?
It's not an option in a ground combat zone. All panels are just blank. I don't think you can even hack them.

I've noticed that opening the battle stats at the end of a conflict works as the official end of the hostilities: if I try to log out without opening it, I get the 15 seconds cool down for being in a dangerous situation; if I open the stats, then I can logout immediately.

I was wondering whether that could also affect the reactivity of the anti ship turrets, but doesn't look like it, according to your experience.

Incidentally, I've never been attacked when leaving on my ship after a CZ, so I don't really know. 🤷‍♂️

Someone saw me steal something and by the time I raced back to my ship, everyone was shooting at me, including those turret cannons.

Just as I lifted off, BOOM!

Really, petty theft and your dead, looking at a rebuy screen for millions of credits, and then jail.

Someone at Frontier doesn't like the idea of theft and made sure we feel the pain.

What sort of loadout do you have on your ship? My biweave viper only has a little over 200 raw shields (so... 500-600 thermal / kinetic with 2 pips and resists?) and that never has a problem tanking base turrets long enough to get clear, even if I'm taking off from directly in their line of fire.
