I do think it's a shame there's not even a token reward for this side. Like maybe x amount of minerals from them as a thank you. But regardless, I haul my T9 for independence of Reorte. Might even get Elite trading in doing it.

Could have at least made the pricing different for the two sides. Get a module for one side but get slightly better profits from the other instead both factions pay the exact same per ton for each good.

The way things currently are, supporters of this CG should worry more if it will even reach tier 1 than how far apart tier 4 and 5 are.
Was not trying to show bias lol.. so C&P..

Other side has reached tier one bonus pay is garbage...
Fight for Independence of system via cargo... (not july yet lol..)
This side has no bribes not money nore items.

The alliance losing a system and the confederation of independent systems gaining greater a system - well, haven't we all done this kind of thing when choosing a home system, and deciding that we would prefer it to be, say, empire, for example. I know I have - all you have to do is run missions that have inf+++++ for a minor faction that is associated with the major power you prefer, until they are in charge. You want a system to become independent, then you just run a load of inf++++ missions for the pirate minor faction. Storywise, there is no storyline in that. The storyline here is: what will Sirius do when it has access to power. You turn Reorte independent, then you don't see that storyline happen. But, there isn't some kind of alternative storyline to replace it.

Just an addendum, if the independence side wins, its not just Reorte that goes:

It is expected that if Reorte Mining Coalition is successful, all systems currently under its governance would similarly be classified as independent.

So at the moment i write this thats:
  • Hajanheimr,
  • Fu Huangaa,
  • Bidjanapu,
  • M Hydrae, and
  • Hesates
In addition to Reorte.

But it does kinda bite that there's no shiny prize on this side. For me I'd probably still be doing the maintain side as i actually want the heatsinks, specifically, and i have a little internal narrative that basically "forces" me to support Sirius

Useful addendum in that it significantly reduces the alliance superpower; but, it advances no storyline.

Our lot can take it easy. We don't have to reach tier 5 for Reorte to remain part of Sirius's great scheme, we just need for them not to reach tier 5.

With Tier 5 being a typo and a make it last all week tier value thats not true...
The CGs are rivals those who get the highest values by thursday 6 AM win the status..
If this side does not get tier 1 It is a complete loss and they wont even get a rubbish cash value as non issued...

I kind of have sympathy for your lot. On the face of it, this looked like the side that would have netted you a payout, based on previous form of reoerte mining versus Sirius. But, those guys who won for Reorte were mercenaries. There is no "cause" to fight for here. If you switch to our side, you will get a payout and some modules. More importantly, you get to save face. Yeah, I get it, they presented themselves as the little guy trying not to be pushed around. You're not alone. I was nearly fooled too. Luckily, I read something that pointed out that they were just attention-seeking nimbys, otherwise I would have been hauling for them, too.

The Alliance doesn't want to lose a core member, 6 systems, and have the same hemorraging the Fed had last year. Sirius involvement is a pretty low price to pay to avoid that fate.

Then the unaligned see the pre-engineered modules, the fact that one CG is clearly more popular than the other, and that this CG has the closer station, and pick it.

In general you'll almost never win with a Superpower CG vs independent. Fed one last year was full on Imperial players trying to hurt Fed, but the Alliance doesn't have the same hatred that Fed vs Empire players have.
