Plans for a new mining initiative by Taurus Mining Ventures in the Synuefe EN-H d11-106 Synuefe CE-R C21-6 system have been announced.
The corporation’s megaship Heart of Taurus has been conducting scientific studies on ‘unusual radioactive signatures’ within the system. The next phase of this work is to identify mineable resources to learn more about the radiation’s effects.
Dr Ruben Carpenter, head of the Taurus Mining Ventures research division, provided an update:
“The source of the radiation found in Synuefe EN-H d11-106 Synuefe CE-R C21-6 has not yet been unidentified. But our team has theorised that naturally occurring ores in the system may have altered properties. If we are correct, that ore may have high commercial value once processed into usable metals and minerals.”
A public statement was delivered by Commodore Morag Halloran:
“It is paramount that we maintain positive relations with the community of independent pilots. Therefore, Taurus Mining Ventures will subcontract the forthcoming operation to members of the Pilots’ Federation. The company will be pleased to offer suitable rewards for mining these irradiated materials, details of which will be specified by Dr Carpenter in the next few days.”

Well, to any devs in the forums, as a miner I'd personally be interested in a High Capacity Subsurface Missile Launcher. I have to carry four of them to get anywhere near to filling up my cutter, and that doesn't leave much room for anything else.

It will be the same location as the Past corrections in galnet as allready announced on live stream the mega ships are not moving...

Incorrect location (but is it?), "noy yet been unidentified"!

I wonder if in the end they were referring to the Bright Sentinel, and perhaps by Synuefe etc. they meant Colonia, or anything elsewhere altogether!

What if by "mining" they mean "combat bonds"?

I'm guessing EN-H was the original system they planned for this plotline, but switched over to Synuefe CE-R c21-6 for whatever reason (probably because they accidently put the Heart of Taurus in the wrong system), and they forgot to update their internal notes.

FDev, if you're reading this, please please PLEASE update the notes and triple check everything public-facing before you accidentally start the mining CG in the wrong system.

I thought about both of these things, but a class four mining laser would require a new model, which doesn't seem likely for a community goal, and depending on the engineering, an engineered class two mining laser could quickly become the de facto option. Historically speaking, they've tried not to give out too many items that become the meta. I suppose they could make it light weight or sturdy or something, but that seems kind of pointless.

I also considered the possibility of an engineered mining Lance, but given that there is no relation between Taurus and torval, that seems unlikely, as well.

So the only options I could really think of would be an abrasion Blaster with increased combat effectiveness, or a subsurface launcher with increased ammo, and as a miner, I would prefer the second.

Speaking of rewards, I would not mind an engineered (lightweight or whatever) mining multi-limper controller.

Yep Galnet is allowed to spoiler them...
If you remove all the galnet posts linked to CG/CEs galnet would be empty as they allready stated galnet would be 100% linked to in game content even if thats still a fluff peace it will still be a story to link to a CG/CE at some point...
On the live stream they stated there would be no more road maps as it would be just spoilers...

Nope, I've been on the ship since Tuesday, the current location is CE-R C21-6, been here since Monday of this week.

I'm thinking someone's playing an inside joke on us. There are a bunch of carriers in the incorrect system as well.

I guess that's one way to handle FC traffic, send half of them to the wrong system.

I think the easier explanation was they sent the Salvation ships to the wrong locations by mistake, and instead of sending them to the right location they decided to just change Galnet to say the new location instead. Then they forgot to change the other Galnet article they wrote in advance.
