You could be right that V6F looks suspiciously like a U6F on the whiteboard. The Ursa is a 6 wheeler, so I am thinking a variant. With all the clinics and hospitals springing up, an ambulance version could be appropriate.

It stands for Unreal 6 Fidelity edition. They will license out Unlreal 5 and covert all their extra stuff from Star Engine to a new version of Unreal called U6F.
 
You see, that's the sort of gameplay I just can't get behind. It assumes when you log off you always have time to find somewhere safe to park.

Most of us have real lives and sometimes, when you've got to log, you've got to log.

A lot of things in SC are seemingly designed with the idea that play sessions are hours long, where you can spend hours meeting up and planning then doing something, before spending more time finishing up and finding a good place to finish for the night.

I just can't get behind that sort of gameplay.

Sometimes the weather or your network provider may decide when you wont have access to the internet too. When you get back, after toggling the router, your ship may be hijacked? The $5000 one? How about if you paid $5000, it comes with an NPC army that kinda fends off any players or NPC's the game throws at you?

When you know nothing about how the CEO of the company works in his company and you have nothing else to talk about so you post random pictures of the CEO eating at a table or talking with peoples.

So they haven't started work on it for SQ42 yet and only after that is done will they start on the one for the PU....

That's fantastic progress really! SQ404 was complete from a gameplay perspective as recently as 2016, and it's only taken them the last six years to not only provide an in-game map for a game we don't have, but a new and improved version that we don't have either!

In 2014 SQ42 was almost ready for release.Get out of here with your 2016.

Aaahh, but my dear Noctua flavoured Psygnosis Side Scroller - 2014 was just laying the foundation. 2016 was just concepting the blueprint of the foundation. The actual go no-go meeting didn't happen until 2017 despite whatever appearances to the contrary. As that seems at this stage to have resulted in a no-go, that propels development forward to the current day, where delivery of the product has advanced no further than the cinematic from 2012.

Early days still!
 
Here's a thought. Another 2 years and it will be the 10 year anniversary of CR saying SQ42 was almost finished!

Anyone taking bets on whether SQ42 will actually be released before then?

There are many signs that CIG is designing its tools with industrialization in mind.

But the main sign is that Turbulent recruit atm a whole team dedicated only to create systems. CIG wants to outsource (at least for a part) the creation of systems and it seems their tools are ready to start this phase
Some key elements to respond are : capacity to industrialize and how many man/hour per year (internally and externally) they will put on system creation.

For me, CIG will certainly keep the creation of some systems for them and outsource others. It will grandly accelerate the pace of system delivery.

Tabarnak @LittleAnt! Even you have to admit this is just ridiculous (unless you are somehow linked to Turbulent or CIG that is). Any time now the pipelines will start ramping up and and the industrialization will accelerate incredibly!

I mean, if at least this was the first time CIG or someone supporting it had mentioned the "accelerating" concept... But 10+ years, zero products released. I can feel that 10g acceleration!

So it looks like a scripting platform that can manipulate the asset creator / game engine automatically. Indeed, this is more and more common in real-life architecture as well, not only in video games. Same type of challenges, whether architecture is virtual or real.
