Took part on this CG hoping that these pre-engineered HeatSinks with extra ammo capacity would be 5 ammo counts each with no extra mass... I know this is just me hoping, but if we receive a regular G3 upgrade with a little less mass then it would be not that worth the time invested... let's wait and see...

This was the first time I've done a CG entirely in open.
As much as it pains me to admit it, the hollow triangle club did make things interesting, something I sorely needed after weeks of Alcor followed by a Booze cruise. On the occasions I jumped in to an empty instance it was almost disappointing.

My total paid for it though, between cargo space lost to defensive capability, having to play cat and mouse with indirect routes through the system, and waiting for pad blockers to shift I only got top 50% while the effort I put in would have had me close to top 10% in solo.

But damn was it a thrill when I got targeted and made it through anyway.

Judging by description, it will most likely have 4 ammo (like normal heatsink ammo mod), no increased mass and 20s reload time.

In other words - a trinket. When I unlocked Colonia engineers, I've made some heatsinks with increased ammo, just to avoid wasting materials on something useless. Made three of those. Never used them, even once. They're still somewhere on my cold storage Condas, gathering dust. I strongly suspect my two heatsinks from this CG will join them.

Although never clearly stated by Frontier, the reason I'm still hopeful is because the CG text mentioned keeping Reorte in the Alliance to better defend themselves against the Thargoids... and a 5-ammo-count Heat Sink would make sense for AX fighting... I know it is too much to expect, but one can only hope!

Sorry for the probably stupid question. As a top 10% finisher, I'm eligible for 3 pre-engineered heat sink modules as a reward. But where do I actually get them? I went to Trobairitz and collected 8 mil Cr but when I went to outfitting, there were no pre-eng. heat sinks but only normal ones to get. I don't see it in my cargo hold, I don't see it among the stored modules, I don't see it mounted on my ship. Nowhere. Where in the world, or rather galaxy, are they?

Despite catching the norovirus and spending a good chunk of this week as a neutron star of bodily fluids (😬) I managed to just squeak into the Top 25% again. 31 trips in my 756t Type 9 seems to be my lucky number!

Extra rewards like that usually don't turn up until a few days afterwards. They'll be in storage on the megaship but will only cost 100Cr to transfer elsewhere.

Started this CG in a Python with my alt account, after a few runs I thought it's time to get this account a Cutter.
Trucked over 28k tonnes then stopped Tuesday, I was in the top 10%, slipped in to the 25% sometime last night.
But made over 400 million in credits which more than helped pay for the Cutter, it's currently weaponless, D rated accept for the FSD but is a good cargo hauler.
Not really a big ship commander, I much prefer small / medium ships but would use a T9 on my main account for these type of CG's but the using the Cutter kind of won me over, still not sure, I like the trucker feel of the T9...
I decided late yesterday to see if I could get my main account in the top 75% using my Anaconda, which I rarely use, it was fitted out for passengers but fitted it with cargo racks and shipped enough to get in the top 75%. Size 6 shield and the rest cargo racks gave me just over 400t, to be honest I think the conda should be able carry more than that for a ship of it's size.

I finished top 25% so I am eligable for some credits. Do I really have to travel back to Trobairitz? I am currently in Synuefe CE-R c21-6 scanning all the landfall planets and all the rings in the system. Would not mind skipping the 46 jumps to collect it. Can I collect it later? Does the megaship jump away or will it remain in the system?

If you just leave it for a couple of weeks it'll get credited to you anyway.

Oh Crap!

Yeah, I canNOT believe I fell for this. Saw the Galnet news saying they were available for pickup, so I toddled off there thinking "Wow, Frontier are on the ball - maybe the fellas on the forum claiming that with consoles shuttered we'll see an improvement all round in the other areas are right!"

More fool me!
