CM Arf gets himself in trouble - "Update 12?"

Only mildly concerning that they're apparently not allowed to tell that they're doing development. Mildly.

Well at the horrifying and obvious inevitability that I get called a "white knight" for stating an unpopular opinion, it would just be a case of having to "green light" what they can commit to. If its anything like where I work everyone is going on holiday around Easter and our team velocity becomes harder to plan.

There was this lad from Guildford who used to shoot his mouth off in videos about stuff in interview without consulting with his devs about scope and proof of concept, you know to get people hyped. He grew up to be Peter Molyneux..I digress ...

I am sure many an example will be given of developers whose community managers run to brief the public the very second they get whiff of what devs are working on without consultation and how their players are all completely unquestionably understanding when those commitments cant be met.

It will probably be disappointing

Can't be accused of being a white knight now see?

You stop that. You stop that right now. Assuming we're both outside of office hours, I really can't bear to hear that terminology in my free time.

As for what they're allowed or not allowed to say, once you can't even divulge that an update is being worked on without committing to a release date or another schedule, your company might have some more issues other than planned leave.

Well, the only significant possibilities are:
  • 4.12
  • 5.0
  • No releases for ED ever again
So I for one am outraged that Arf has given away that the odds on favourite is going to be the winner.

I'm holding out for the physical Nintendo Switch cartridge (they made a JWE Switch port, but sadly no physical)...
...and working SLI support in Odyssey.

Could frontier pump out a nice new update or two along with some needed fixes, optimisations and maybe some new flashy surprise content... all in time for the one year anniversary of Odyssey. Then do a promotional sale of the Odyssey DLC, along with an ARX store sale.

Try to encourage some new customers for the DLC and call it a win?

Well, probably the board was not aware there are devs still working DBOBE's love child instead of working on more profitable projects.
Now that's out... i'm afraid U12 will be delayed
