Hi All 
I have it on even better authority that they got the idea of the new plant from 'The Little Shop of Horrors' 'Audrey 2'.
Plants will now be able to speak, sing, walk over the planets surface, and be a real (1) challenge to those players wanting a more (2)challenging aspect to plant exobiology, and a more (3) challenging PVP (Player versus Plant) scenario.
The down side is a more powerful GPU will be needed than that stated on the recommended game specs.

I might get into trouble for this, but I have on good authority myself that update 12 will come before update 13, long before update 14.
It will contain an undisclosed number or improvement and fixes.

There are still defects and performance issues being worked on, so I don't think it was ever in serious doubt that another update was coming, and that more updates will follow.
I'm more interested in longer-term major feature development, and wanting to know whether that is in the books, even without any hint at details or release time, initially.
ED is awesome and unique, and more of the expansive potential in there should be explored. The game deserves to be revamped and expanded.
Otherwise, it's fairly obvious that Update 12 consists solely of an uninstall mini-game that makes it a challenge to remove the game from your system, which has such great replayability that people will be reinstalling the game just to uninstall it again. It's called Delete: Dangerous.
