I was wrong!

First he put all of his wealth from Paypal on the line for Tesla, barely made it, while the 3 big USA car makers kept reporting to Congress electric cars are a no go.
You mean the nearly five billion of the tax payers' dollaroos.

Fwiw: electric cars are a no-go from an environmental pov. You buy a Tesla for prestige, not because it's good for the environment.

before SpaceX it has cost around 1bill per astronaut to get them into space, Musk and his team have reduced that cost by roughly 95% money well spent I reckon

plz do not mix fiction with science (or CGI clips for that matter)

They claim a lot but those numbers have yet to be proven. It is likely cheaper than before.. I do hope so. As 50 years ago we were launching people to the moon and now we are have problems delivering people to 200km height as the Soyuz is not available anymore (@ around 50 million per launch)

numbers aside that's a damming indictment of our slide from the further exploration of space in the last 50 years buzz aldrin famously said he expected moon bases by now, love him or hate him Elon is the Bond villain we (the west) needed to get back in the saddle .

The company he was CEO for less than a year before being ousted by the board? And was only CEO because he was associated with a company the owner of PayPal merged with (which he was also kicked out of).

From which Musk kicked out one of the original founders after buying his way to chairman of the board then slotting himself in as CEO. Not to mention that over the years, he's used the company for all sorts of fraud and smeared it in enough controversy for it to earn a fairly large Wikipedia article about it.

SpaceX is one I have to give credit to him for because it's one he actually founded and seems to be doing pretty well.

Some bonus stupid ideas: the Hyperloop, which is expensive, impractical, and has already been outdone by transport systems that actually exists and are being used. Plus his recent attempt to solve traffic jams by digging a tunnel and filling it with Teslas that proceeded to experience a traffic jam.

PayPal was originally established by Peter Thiel, Luke Nosek and Max Levchin and Tesla was founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning…
True. Musk didn't become Chairman of Tesla until 9 months after it was incorporated. So, I guess he's only been in charge for 18.5 of the 19 years it's been around. You're right about the PayPal thing, though. I forgot he didn't become CEO until after the x.com merger.

Also, Starlink is a thing and it's pretty remarkable.

Some people say the previous landings on the moon were just camera/mirrors effects... maybe NASA will also jump into the UE5 train as Mr Musk is a gamer himself? 🤔

PS. Before anyone takes this seriously... #Sarcasm
I can't remember where I saw this, but in an interview someone pointed out that the number of people and resources required to accomplish a moon landing hoax would have cost a lot more than the moon landing itself.
