Prior to 2015 though?
Nope...sometime during 2018 was the first time I'd heard of piping, air pressures and flow of room gases etc. There was a video showing how it all worked inside a 3D hab unit with a few sealed or unsealed rooms and external airlocks...and no, I'm not digging it out, just take my word for it :D

Edit: Come to think of it, they did add all that nonsense to the PU at one point. I can distinctly remember it didn't work as planned since folk were choking to death in the middle of spaceports in random areas...as well as in ships where the mating together of dodgy physics grids around doors or bulkheads made it appear like they had developed leaks overnight... or the pressure system wasn't recognising the cockpit glass as a physical barrier in certain ships (Constellation sticks in my mind), something like that... It's still there to a certain extent but they had to disable or Sellotape fix most of it.

Before they implemented the basic T-0 room gas system, it used to be commonplace to remove your helmet on board a ship or in a spaceport with no ill effects...after they shoved it in, it was inviting a death sentence to take it off... especially in a supposedly safe, pressurised environment :)

Here they are talking about the 'Room System' in 2017:

The infamous argon screenshot dates from around then, although not sure which actual stream it was shown in

"Scope" and "Scope creep" have implicit meaning in project management tied to budget, quality and time.

A list of aspirational features like "Rivers" or "Ship interiors" do not constitute usable "Scope". They would be broken down into more detailed designs with purpose.

Ergo scope creep has little meaning to a project that has no "budget" or time constraints, it's just a whole bunch of stuff that gets slung in to demonstrate aspirations with no purpose.

If CIG ever figure out the scope they would be working torwards a quality "release" of some kind which has no value to them.

Ok so the earliest reference I can find to ship atmospherics / decompression etc appears in this 2013 list of Hull C modifications…

If you get your scope creep in early enough anything is possible ;)

Just make the rest up as you go along…

Decompression yes, but not actual simulated air flowing through pipes. Original scope could simply have been ship.room(A).atmosphere = 1.
