Still no Thargoids on Foot 1 Year Post-Release

It's a pity that there are still no Thargoids on foot in-game. Based on leaked concept art, Frontier probably already developed it, but delayed the implementation due to the myriad technical issues that had to be ironed out. Don't make us wait till Halloween or Christmas for this overly delayed special update.

Another thing I'd really like them to put in the game are these bases and locations that we discover through Lore, to have the opportunity to go inside and read the logs directly on a computer or something, instead of just going down with the SRV and scanning .

While it's a nice concept, considering how the concept vs reality went with Odyssey, I'd suspect it would translate into T posing thargoids getting stuck in a door frame while our FPS take a 10fps hit, and the entire room is pitch dark because the lightning is borked.

No, your G5 weapons would prove to be useless and – by way of mind-numbing grind – you'd have to acquisition yet another set specialized for AX, which in turn would be useless against conventional enemies. Because science.

Thargoid hides should be an option for bulkheads. Grants 100% resistance against all kinds of damage except AX. Take that, powerplay!

Hence why i'm holding on AX Combat Logs and Xeno Defence Protocols - when/if on-foot tharg combat will be the thing, those will be the new SDP, but 10 times rarer

Don't worry, you'll have to unlock the new engineer for it first. He'll ask for 10 Alien Farts, which will need to be collected directly at the source, while undetected with a new "gas collector" tool.
Be aware the aliens only fart once every 15m, and it's very random. Some BGS ("taco tuesday" system status) may increase your odds, while other will decrease it ("food shortage").

Eventually, some influencer will make a popular "10 tricks about gathering farts that Fdev don't want you to know" (don't forget to like and subscribe), which involve an anarchy system and some poor thargoids clustered inside the same room. And relogging. Lots of relogging.
