Let's be real, we all know fdev is thinking about it. We should let them know how dumb an idea it is!
Your telling me fdev doesn't chase trends? LolAre they now ?
I missed the memo.
I really need a better crafted faked outrage to get my pitchfork.
Do they ?Your telling me fdev doesn't chase trends? Lol
I am a crypto fan (monero, bitcoin is cool but privacy) but I have not that much wisdom about these so called NFT´s (real world art could be digitalized like a crypto coin to gain worth ?) but why are they bad for elite?Let's be real, we all know fdev is thinking about it. None of this, please. I would like to play a video game for fun to escape the real world for a bit without this garbage weighing it down.I am a crypto fan (monero bitcoin is cool but privacy) but I have not that much wisdom about these so called NFT´s (real world art could be digitalized like a crypto coin to gain worth ?) but why are they bad for elite?
And why would it be bad if ARX would be a crypto coin when you simply earn it by playing and it could be that this coin skyrockets for a few days - ED is a really big galaxy and crypto gaining while playing would be a further step to integrate the game into real world.
NFT are "art" that is made "unique" by the inclusion of a blockchain. In game that'd be a ARX skin with a unique number or some stuff. With some exclusivity added to it (like only 1000 produced).I am a crypto fan (monero bitcoin is cool but privacy) but I have not that much wisdom about these so called NFT´s (real world art could be digitalized like a crypto coin to gain worth ?) but why are they bad for elite?

NFT is basically an online certificate of ownership, typically applied to digital assets. It's increasingly used for physical properties though, such as bottles of wine or even real estate.I am a crypto fan (monero bitcoin is cool but privacy) but I have not that much wisdom about these so called NFT´s (real world art could be digitalized like a crypto coin to gain worth ?) but why are they bad for elite?

I believe one of the basic principles of game theory is: if you get paid for playing, it's no longer a game but a job.And why would it be bad if ARX would be a crypto coin when you simply earn it by playing and it could be that this coin skyrockets for a few days
To my mind the only functional use for NFTs is within computer games, or computer generated environments where items can be traded. But not in the sense of limited runs of items (that already creates scarcity and "value"), but more in the sense of a particular item becoming legendary due to the person that owned it or the war it was involved in etc. This item is now unique, not a copy paste and it's value is in its provenance.NFT are "art" that is made "unique" by the inclusion of a blockchain. In game that'd be a ARX skin with a unique number or some stuff. With some exclusivity added to it (like only 1000 produced).
Said item can be then traded for money.
Obviously, the moment the game stop, or is put in maintenance mode, your NFT is worthless. And the last guy who bought it is now the guy at the bottom of the pyramidal scheme it was all along.
OFC, it's all based on speculation, but game companies have been more and more interested in it, formoney, I mean our own good. Totally.
It's bad for games because it divert dev time for what is essentially a speculation tool. Also, NFT are not eco friendly.
People are like kids. They believe either that money appear out of nowhere, or that some company would pay them to play their products.I believe one of the basic principles of game theory is: if you get paid for playing, it's no longer a game but a job.
I get why people would like to earn money playing games they like, but let's not pretend like the 'money making' bit wouldn't become more important than the 'game you like' bit.
Also: ARX are already earned over time, not sure what the benefit of making this a crypto coin would be (other than people trying to sell them off -> this is not something the game needs).
@Bottom Hat was the smartest of all, because he started hazzing stuphz before NFTs were even a thing and, on that fateful day, he'll be the Hazzer of half of the galaxy.
Word on the street is he's acquired a majority share of TT Eggs Inc. also.@Bottom Hat was the smartest of all, because he started hazzing stuphz before NFTs were even a thing and, on that fateful day, he'll be the Hazzer of half of the galaxy.
They have never said anything about NFTs (Thank God becauseLet's be real, we all know fdev is thinking about it. We should let them know how dumb an idea it is!
Personally I think we should be far more worried about the Frontier Developments reality TV series with its heavy focus on toilet cams.Step 1: Invent a problem to be worried about
Step 2: Worry about problem and create a thread about it
Step 3: ....
Step 4: Don't profit.
