A message to Mr Rackham before he candidates as a president

Maybe there's another group you should be talking to?
Contrary to the believe of some people on the internet, there is no single player group which you can talk to. There are too many independent people involved, and the only way to fix the real issue, is if a "higher being" (FDev) fixes the game mechanics which are involved here.

You mean the "let's blockade Rackham's Peak because consoles" group aren't worth talking to? Funny that, can't get to Rackham's Peak because blockade but FDEV need to fix it?

Blockade is having no real impact on Odyssey accounts, just other console players due to how those systems work. It's more of a functional problem with carrier behaviour and size of the system before the peak.

Edit: This is also an issue from before the blockade with a few solutions suggested in the past.

You think there wouldn't be PC Odyssey players sympathizing with the cause? Then of course you have the people that simply are cluttering the system, unrelated to any desire to blockade but simply parking the FC as that is how the game mechanic works.

Sadly this is how the FC limit works, and it has remained unadressed despite it being an issue for every CG or certain systems. For Rackham's Peak due to the trip having a few FC-only reachable systems, a traffic jam there will make FCs, and the players traveling in them truly stuck.

The number of FC's per system really is hard limited, sure FDEV can play with minor things like increasing the number orbiting a body, but there is a maximum limit they can't exceed and when that is reached it's full and that's that.

Ultimately I fear (in lieu of some of the posts above) that even if they did tweak the numbers just for the system, and those on the access route up there; that they'd still all too quickly get full up anyway.

And I don't mean by protestors, I just mean by people wanting to do the trip on theirs or others' carriers, to both take part of the money, and the view.

Even going up to the relevant value around a thousand, might not solve the problem. It's just the way the game is coded, as far as I limitedly understand it.

Another user posted a trouble ticket https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/49346 and I added the following to it:

I concur with this issue and would like to point to Frontier's own 'Elite Dangerous End User Licence Agreement', which in section 4.4 states '... or interfere with the experience of other users of the Game or any Online Feature.'

Since the self proclaimed 'blockade' HD 105341 is in direct and intentional violation, the user community would really appreciate if FDev would deal with it.

The more difficult conversation has to be about other star systems like HIP 58832, Alcor, HIP 22550 and others where there are disproportionate numbers of Fleet Carriers of owners who have not logged on in months and are creating traffic jams solely by their presence. Personally, I feel that FDev should email each commander and request that they move their FC to less busy systems, and if they do not within some reasonable time, deem it again a violation of section 4.4 and deal with it appropriately.

Thank you.

Most of the carriers currently occupying Rackhams have been there for months, long before the cancellation of console updates was announced. The problem is people leaving their Carriers there because they don't want to jump back down to the bubble, not people intentionally blockading the system.

There is certainly a whiff of 'that other guy wants to steal your cookie', in blaming a small group of people who are at least actively participating in the game. As I've said before, the devs appear far more tolerant (or just unaware?) of 'emergent gameplay' than the while knights...

I'm getting ideas for a new CG:
-make their FC destructible- and "Go to Rackham's peak and wreck the griefer protestors."
Reward: lots of liquor from Rackham's personal stash.
