I would never do such a thing. Just because I used salt and pepper rather than rice at the wedding is...is co-incidental.Still waiting for the burger king to marry his slaver queen and the sous chef (you) to plot his untimely demise...

It would certainly be unwise to admit to it, lest you become part of the stew rather than a vindaloo.I would never do such a thing. Just because I used salt and pepper rather than rice at the wedding is...is co-incidental.
hairy blue toes incoming.Where are the footpix when you need them?
hairy blue toes incoming.

IIRC, That was part of Drew Wagar’s contributions to Galnet, to promote his second ED novel.Dear gods, i remember why i never read those articles. The prose reads like fanfic written by a spotty 14 year old.
Erm... apologies to whoever at FD wrote that... and hope your acne clears up one day.

Pretty much like every straight to video film i ever watched when i was young and impressionable.I paid for his novels!!!!
I'm pretty sure it was the other way around. I know it was the other way around when it came to his first book, Reclamation, since he did a Kickstarter to fund the 4500 pound Writer's Pack ...IIRC, it was FDev's novel, they commissioned him to write it.
I've read both and IMO it's ok space opera, and especially with the second it was really cool to read about so many things we do in the game when we play it. I liked Michael Brookes' Legacy better though, slightly deeper and more ominous.
The first book "Reclamation" was the kickstarter, the second "Premonition" was commissioned by FDev, which is the one that partly played out in the game.I'm pretty sure it was the other way around. I thought Sapyx made that all up...
The original inspiration for it, and what I meant by "possibly-apocryphal", is that it was lore inherited from the old FFE game. The FFE newspapers ran concurrent stories in the Imperial Herald and R.I.G. (Random Intergalactic Gossip) about it.IIRC, That was part of Drew Wagar’s contributions to Galnet, to promote his second ED novel.
COURT NEWS #1 - The annual Imperial Ball as held last night in honour of the birthday of our loved and esteemed ruler... Also there to celebrate was Crown Prince Harald, sporting his new hairstyle generated by the gene-splicing techniques of the Institute founded by his august father. The Prince's companion, a lady high in Federation circles and noted for her acting and decorative qualities, spent several hours with His Imperial Majesty while the Prince acted as host.
a few weeks later...
CROWN PRINCE WITHDRAWS - It is with sadness that we record the withdrawal of Crown Prince Harald from public life. In a message from the palace released yesterday, we learn that his Highness, who has been suffering from some emotional strain since his return from the Federation, has decided to retire to the silence and contemplation of the Noble's trial (Anlaol) in specially designed palace on the outskirts of the aptly named Duval Starport. There he will spend his time in contemplation and meditation while receiving medical treatment for an unfortunate body-plan deformation brought on by faulty DNA adjustment in the Institute of TTT.
We send our sympathy to the Emperor and assure him that the thoughts of his loyal subjects are with him at this difficult time.
No announcement has yet been made about the new official successor. There are many sons for the Emperor to choose from and we are sure he will make a wise choice which will be greeted with great rejoicing throughout the Empire.
MY LOVER TURNED INTO A MONKEY!!! - Lovely Eccy G. was in tears when she told of her ordeal in the Imperial Palace.
"Harry was so sweet to me, like when we were swanning round the Federation he gave me this planet and everything. But then he went to that Institute place and everything changed." Crown Prince Harry grew HAIR on his head and then everywhere!!! Then his FEET changed until he could hold a banana with his TOES!
"It was kinda fun at first" sobbed Eccy, "but in the end he wanted to do really crazy things, you know, chandeliers and that. I had to flee for my life. I mean, I didn't have the grip he had, what with his four hands."
the did i just read ?The original inspiration for it, and what I meant by "possibly-apocryphal", is that it was lore inherited from the old FFE game. The FFE newspapers ran concurrent stories in the Imperial Herald and R.I.G. (Random Intergalactic Gossip) about it.
