Advice sought: ED equipment giveaway

07 CMDRs! I've been playing ED since premium beta, and still enjoy it. I've bought a bunch of equipment to enjoy the game with over the years, including an Oculus DK2, an Oculus CV1, a Volair Flight Sim chair, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS and throttle, Saitek rudder pedals, a Saitek X52 (pre Thrustmaster) and probably some things I forget. Oh, yeah - and a desktop PC tower with a GTX1080 and a 10 year old CPU that still manages to get decent framerates for ED in VR. I'm guessing this was probably $3-4K new, many years ago.

Anyway, I've found that I no longer play ED with all this stuff - just play with an XBOX Controller on a gaming laptop. It's not as immersive with a controller, nor as easy, but it's just so easy to get going.

Why am I sharing this? Well, I'm moving house shortly and I've decided to give all the old equipment away. Don't want to haggle over price, and not interested in dealing with tire-kickers. Just want it all gone, and not to a landfill. So - I thought I'd give it away to someone local - in Houston, TX (or surrounding TX cities), and I've also decided that I'd like it to go to a good home - an ED CMDR who's been active on the forum for a bit, and not a known griefer. If someone wants this stuff - ping me, pls.

Note: I'm not interested in shipping any of this stuff - I'm trying to make this as easy as possible for me. I want someone to take it all. Picking it up in a pick-up truck or large SUV would be easiest, so that the chair doesn't need to be taken apart. Let me know if anyone's interested, and willing/capable of picking this up in Houston.

Sorry - thread title incorrect. Not sure why I labeled it "advice sought"! Can't seem to edit the title...

Locate a local charity, school, college, community group and just gift it to them, it’s safer, and they are more likely to pick it up than some random person you found through the internet.

A quick search shows at least 3 recycling charities in your area. The tech would go to people who would appreciate it and raise money for those who need it most.
