Apparently I screwed up my first mission and was fined and sent to the Armoured Saint in Capricorn, after they removed all but 1000Cr.

Don't have the funds to get back to my ship at the station in 91950 because Apex wants 32000 for the trip...

I should add, if this is a known bug I would appreciate the fix.

are there any escape pods on this station? , send your current system name and maybe someone can fetch you, but try the escape pod that will drop you at a station where you can fetch your ship

try start off with simple missions like courier or trade missions till you can afford a new ship plus 2 rebuys , then you can start doing other missions , like on foot massacre missions or things like that , also if you get stuck again , load in to horizons it will spawn you in your ship , then load back into odyssey .
frontier really needs to look at these soft lock situations.

I think I'm going to start out with flight missions instead of the Odyssey contracts. Getting jumped by 5 hostiles on a threat level 3 assignment doesn't sound like a great way to start. lol I was just anxious to get started while waiting for my HOTAS to arrive.

there are some odyssey contracts you could start with , simple delivery missions , they are basically on foot courier missions , once you have a dominator suit and some weapons , try do legal missions to start that way you dont end up in prison if you fail , most legal missions can be found on the concourse of stations by the computer , dont talk to randoms around the station yet as those are all mostly illegal ones

Thanks for that. I hadn't considered courier jobs yet. I thought support would be easier for some reason, don't ask why lol
I mainly wanted to get into this, but didn't want to do a lot of flying yet without the HOTAS I ordered.

As Aquila said, delivery missions are definitely the way to start, there are also Retrieval (?) missions that are starter missions as well, where you fetch an item from an NPC rather than taking one to them. Just don't accept a smuggling mission by mistake or a mission that mentions illegal goods. When you get to move on to other mission types be aware that some of them require you to be wearing a certain type of suit in order to complete them, if I remember correctly Support is one that does.

Also take Apex taxis to other systems/stations once you have a few million credits and check for pre-upgraded suits and weapons in the Pioneer stores, these can greatly help you in ground missions. Once you have your HOTAS and can fly this becomes a lot easier to do, but you are probably wise to wait for the HOTAS so you don't have to go through the same learning curve learning how to fly twice.
