That unreleased game isn't on console.Atleast they havnt out right said no we won't continue supporting the console players or vr players even though both are large chunks of our fans
How long till elite dosnt support HOTAS anymore (a joke)
But srsly ik now of em exist yet but sc has new ship ideas coming out the oiseau
and is terrible in vrThat unreleased game isn't on console.
VR support for SC is still a way away, while VR in Horizons is unchanged and wonky in EDO.Atleast they havnt out right said no we won't continue supporting the console players or vr players even though both are large chunks of our fans

That's fine, because every time I read your comments I think I've had a stroke.Hhhhhhhhh... man
I'm done with the forums
Next time elite s it's self over and destroys it's comunty I'll just sit laughing
I bought it on PC when it was on sale at Easter.Sorry, I'm confused. Does it mean you already bought Odyssey for console? Was that even possible?
Disagree. The good news are that: consoles are out (I play 95% of my games on consoles, so I'm a console guy, but for ED it is clearly better to focus on one support and trust me, in a few years time most of console-CMDRs will actually be happy they had to make the move) which will help improve the game andd use ressources where it counts; portage is a thing, with good conditions, meaning that the vast majority of those who can afford or own a PC will probably make the move, so the community will not dwindle; those who say the game is unstable and/or unplayable obviously don't play it (or own a Pentium4 Windows 95-powered PC) but Frontier nevertheless decided to focus on -improving first, move ahead later-, which is the right thing to do now so that issues don't stack like in the past (they learn from their mistakes); they commit on new stuff, whatever it is, and this is the first time for a loooong time that we actually get a roadmap, meaning that they've probably been having quite a long brainstorming about where to go with ED but that finally got to something... whatever it is. Here, yes, we will have to wait about details, as we know that they are not famous for listening to CMDRs wishes. But I mean, why never see the half-full glass? The game finally moves FORWARD, without setting our friends from consoles aside, and that is all that really matters to me.It's mixed news.
The original good news was that Odyssey would be delivered as a finished product in May 2021 for Windows and consoles. This is way below that, no consoles and Odyssey is still being optimised and stabalised for most of the rest of this year.
The good news is there is minor new content and storyline and an apparent future for ED.
apparently you will get a free elite: horizons copy. And I assume that it will be an entirely new frontier account which will recieve the copy. However at this point we do not know for certain.I have a question (maybe they talked about it but I didn't understand because my English is bad!).
With the pc transfer do I need to buy a steam or epic copy of the game? Because I can play only with GEFORCE NOW, and GFN only let you play with epic or steam account...
P.s. I already play with geforce now and my epic account, the game in streaming is good

But [on-foot] VR, the only reason to play a game such as Elite [...]
Presumably it will be a standalone copy, but previously Frontier support has on request been giving out partner keys to customers who have wanted to link their copy to other services -- don't know whether this is still the case...With the pc transfer do I need to buy a steam or epic copy of the game? Simple logic really, with nothing to indicate otherwise. If a person bought a PC license along with the LEP, and then they later purchased another PC license, the LEP from the first account has never applied to the second account. Not sure why anyone would wonder if this time will be different.I don't know why you are so sure, but it makes a lot of sense to me.
The Maximum Immersion Overhaul. Everything that should realistically take time now does so. Refuelling your ship, loading and unloading cargo, et cetera. And what if not? Send me a postcard, I'll still be here...
That's fine, because every time I read your comments I think I've had a stroke.
This is what you get for drinking really hot tea.
How dare you bring reality into the discussion. Everyone knows that Frontier is located in Lothlorien and thus shielded from any issues us mortals have had to deal with... /s (for those that need it)They had to square the dots and cross the t's. With Sony/Microsoft, it was probably a difficult thing to sort out, plus the feasibility and effort required to transfer.
I have a lot of sympathy. With my job, because of the economic situation, we are going through constant replanning, cutbacks of scope, changes of plans, sudden stop works. Plus the problem of actually getting anything made these days - supply line problems all over the place. Its not a stable environment at the moment for anyone.
Hopefully either ship interiors or ELWs,WWs, etc will be the 2023 "major feature overhaul"Would be an interesting bet, Ammonia worlds as part of Odyssey roadmap then gas giants and or ELWs as next DLC 2023 hmmm
