The Key Feature Overhaul

My personal hope is that the key feature overhaul is the awful wheel menus when on foot, and they do something a bit more like... gag... Star Citizen did. Press Q to open your menu, but instead of that wheel with dodgy font choices, you bring your wrist into your field of vision, and get to select things on screen on that.

yes and dont forget , it doesnt work , that little wheel almost does nothing try saluting someone using that little wheel , will take you a good 2 minutes for it to actually move ,

I'd love it if there were more interesting things going on in the bar. I won't specify what. Just make it more worthwhile as a place to spend time in game.

But if there's only one key feature being overhauled in 2023, I hope it's something else that's more vital.

A whole UI revamp would be welcome.

Since it doesn't have to be restricted by a console gamepad anymore, how about a drag and drop interface for easier ship module loadouts.

Why anyone would wish to buy a drink - even as immersion - is beyond me... But if that is what you want, well, who am I to naysay you?

Just think how much fun folk could be having playing the perpetual alpha instead: Having to get up out of bed, run around like a headless chicken, take a train and hope that they don't fall through the environment into space, eventually find their ship and hopefully manage to take off without dying, it is so much fun!
Maybe the drinks would be like water in Subnautica. Unless you have a drink every 20 minutes (or whatever), you die...

Do SC streamers fall through the environment and die? I must watch some of their streams for a laugh...

A long time ago I played a MUD* where drinking at the bar helped you heal faster and temporarily increased some of your stats (strength, constitution), while also reducing your probability of hitting the enemy. You’d also ‘slur’ your wordsh when chatting with other players in funny ways. Perhaps bartenders could sell something like that, you could either drink them at the bar or take them with you to the battle.

Wait. You want to spend ARX, which costs real cash-money, on a virtual drink in a game? Am I understanding this right?
Yes. Because if the drinks cost ARX, all of a sudden all the crying about "WHY CAN'T WE HAVE DRINKS AT THE BAR" will turn into "nah nah we're good".

It's a perfect solution, too! ARX can only be used for things that are completely superfluous and add cosmetic flavor to the game but no distinct gameplay advantages! ;)

Maybe. I dunno if we need a full-blown MobiGlas/PipBoy style thing. And if we did, I think it'd only make sense for that main radial menu on Q, which is the one I don't really have any issues with.

The ones that cause a problem are the equipment radial and the emote radial, because for some reason they think me pointing my mouse in a given direction is a mild suggestion instead of an attempt to interact with it.

That said, if the UI/UX devs were considering implementing a more screen-based menu, I wouldn't be opposed.

I’m starting to warm up to the arx idea, but with the following;

1. drinks cost arx (but are really cheap, like 1)
2, consuming a drink increases some other stat for you that does not help you win, but is desirable somehow… what could that be? (Need your help with this)
3. You should be able to buy drinks for others, this would be a great way to reward friends for help, respect an enemy for their skills in combat…. Etc…
