What a place! Such good fun landing/trying to land, and very hazardous taking off too. Quite terrifying actually.

I take out my SRV, as I should, and dismiss my ship. Fine.

My question is, can I disembark and go for a walk, and is it safe to be out of the SRV when the planet orbits at its closest, in the rays of the white dwarf?

Has anyone tried space legs at that point?

We were there a couple of weeks ago (EDO, so on-foot) - it is possible to be on-foot while the WD transits overhead, but temperature rises rapidly, so jumping into the SRV may be required more often than normal!

If I recall correctly, any amount of heat over the suit thermal limit causes a static amount of damage over time, regardless of how over that may be.
