Thargoid Shutdown field

Can somebody explain how this guy survived shutdown field w/o using neutralizer? Was it a bug?

I think he was on the edge of the distance.

Now that we're talking about the field, I have two of my old questions:
1. How can you keep neutralizer coverage at a distance of 1 or 2 km ?
2. I have the neutralizer appearing on the left side under the heat sinks. This means it can be engaged with a separate button, I haven't figured out how to set this up.

The distance to Cyclop was less than 2km at the moment of surge blast. So the ship was definitely inside the shutdown field.

1. Neutralizer uses a lot of SYS energy, so you need to bring 4 pips to SYS when you use it. It takes 1sec to charge Neutralizer and you need to hold the fire button down assigned for it to keep it neutralizing. The effect of neutralizer lasts while you hold the button and have energy in SYS. I usually wait 2 secs after got surge alert warning and than press fire button for neutralizer.
2. You need to assign Neutralizer to a fire group the same way you do it for any weapon or scanners.

Well, maybe it was hard for me to see it. Maybe it was too cold?

I guess translation difficulties, I understand what you wrote, but it doesn't answer my questions. I know how the neatoalyzer works.
1. In the beginning, the neutralizer is charged for the zone. 1,2,3 km. I want it to work for 2 km and not for 3, how can I do it?
2. When I do not select the group with the neutralizer, it appears on my left. What is this for?

P.S. See 1. I must have made a mistake, there is probably no different distance to work. It always works only at 3 km and not less. I thought I read somewhere that you just charge at a distance.

Some time after the release of ED Odyssey a bug was introduced where the shutdown field didn't shutdown the ship systems. It was a good time for xeno hunters :D
It was fixed with update 9 in December 2021. The linked video is from November, so that's ok.

Sorry. But to completely close the topic, I would like to hear the answer to the second question.
I think the developers forgot to select a separate button for the neutralizer.
Or didn't they?

@SergMx My last post was an answer to the original post. I had to reply with a quote to not to confuse you, sorry.

To your second question: At the right-hand panel of your ship (and SRV too) you can manage your fire groups. You can assign weapons and utilities with a 1 or 2 to a fire group. 1 is for your primary trigger button and is on the right in your HUD, 2 for secondary trigger button and on the left.

You can also watch this video to see what I mean:

Thank you.
It must be because of the translation that I don't understand something.

As I think :
1. the Core Group of Weapons.
2. Additional group of weapons
3. something that can always be activated by setting a special key.
4. automatic activation.

I used to think so, but when I down the left field (3-bottom-left)I do not understand then what it is, as it can not be set to a key.

If I set the field to a group and switch to that group, the field switches to position 1 or 2.
