Why don't we have ungridded plaster pieces?

I don’t understand. I’m seeing the gridded wall pieces for plaster but not ungridded. I see ungridded wall pieces for just about everything else but not plaster.

Do you have any DLC's? They came out in one. I have to look up to see which one though.
Edit: If you go in the base game you'll see them if you type "Plaster" in the search box.

I have all the DLCs. This is all I'm seeing for wall pieces.

Search for ‘plaster’ and don’t limit to wall pieces - they’re not tagged as wall pieces.

Ah they were in wall decoration. This must be a bug, every other wall type with ungridded wall pieces is in the wall category.

This is what I would do. Search and you will find them all, just don't have any filters set. You have some set on the bottom left of your screen. You have different settings set. to only see wall pieces.

They are wall pieces though, that's the problem. It's in the name. Looks like a categorization bug to me.

If they're not gridded then they can be whatever you need them to be. They can be turned in any direction when it's not a grid item.

I used the filter for Non-Grid pieces and these are the ones that will show up. The good thing about non-grid is you can use them which ever way you need. They can be used for floors, roofs, walls and more. Are these the ones you were referring to when you said they can only be walls?

I realize you can use them for whatever you want. My point is they’re called wall pieces and the equivalent pieces for every other material are listed in the wall section but these aren’t for some reason. Given that can you see why I was confused and why others might become confused too?

Mhm, I get that, no one is blaming you I think the reason for another listing might also be, that the plaster pieces are much more versatile due to their structure than say a brick piece, which has to have a certain angle at least. But I've been where you are, I also couldn't find them from time to time, as I was looking in the wall section. I made it a habit to just type in what I'm searching, to be honest.

Half the time I don’t even know what I’m looking for, just browsing for stuff because there’s so much I can’t possibly keep track of it all in my head. At least not at 100 hours of game time.

The plaster non-grid pieces are located in the 'wall decorations' tab. I think they were the first non-grid 'wall' pieces and when the developers set it up, they put them there instead of the wall construction tab. The other non-grid wall pieces came much later and were more ... logically placed.
