Console to PC transfer (console absent)

I've read that .... and the question I asked is not answered there. Hence asking it both on Twitter when I asked @Zac Cocken and here and as yet still have no answer to the question.

I can put the question another way if you prefer?

I already have a PC account can the xbox account stuff be transferred to the already existing PC account or do I need to create a NEW Account/CMDR on the PC for everything to be transferred to?

The account can merge in-terms of purchased cosmetics etc but you won't be able to merge your save data. If you want to transfer your Commander data on console to an already existing account on PC, you'll have to delete the Commander save data that already exists on that account on PC.

If you'd rather keep both, you can create a new Frontier account using a different email address during the transfer process that will give you a free copy of Horizons on PC, that your console Commander data will be transferred to.

Thanks for the reply Zac and that does now answer my question. I'm not bothered about the Xbox progress as I've now done more on the PC in less time, things become easier once you know what you're doing

O K this is much clearer information. SO this means, if I can further interpret…my PC account that accesses Odyssey needs to be deleted if I want my console copy to play Odyssey. Otherwise I would have to buy Odyssey again.

So basically when we hear more news, those of who have an existing PC account may as well delete it prior to taking actions when announced.

I wish we had a planned for June, July, August, etc. (asking for a month that the team thinks the console copy will be made available)

If you can’t give that due to reasons, can you all at least let us know if it going to be prior to Q4 or later.

Was it digital or physical version...

There is bound to be some anti fraud for Physical version as it can be gifted and shared an sold ... As there offering a Free game on PC... give the physical disc to 20 friends install and play then get free PC version on transfer...

Digital will be locked to the account.... should not need any verification you are a number to microsoft not a person and fdev will link your number from the microsoft account to Fdev account to the copy and then Block any other transfers after your free copy to another PC account...

I wonder about this since I'm playing on Game Pass... wouldn't mind paying for it on PC though.

So is it possible to have a main account copied from console to PC and have cosmetics transferred between alts?

What about... the Cobra Mk IV access I have on my current PC account, but don't have on my Xbox account. After the merge, will I have access to the Cobra Mk IV on the formerly-console commander?

I'd imagine, based on how it has been described, that the cosmetics available would be merged between the two while the character data overwrites the existing PC save

Share holders are the ones who got it cancelled...
EDH is dead on PC as well its entered maintenance mode on PC not just console ...
Share holders want new DLC to make new Profit, Not to spend millions and not bring in cash on bad conversion..

Writing a conversion script to copy data from one account and move it to another is cheaper...
And as shown buy how long the free copy English post topics all ready is in people Willing to buy EDO on PC if given the chance to move account your wrong on that they wont get EDO sales...
With GeForce now use the OLD xbox and PC Can run the PC game in web browser, so no New hardware is needed you just need a good fibre line and monthly fee... No PC upgrade needed just the Fibre line option and Many Xbox an PS users have tried it and run the game fine on there connection...

IF by purchased items you mean Cosmetics, you can open a support ticket and ask them if the can migrate the cosmetics (maybe the assets value too) to the PC account, but that may ,mean that your XB account will get deleted in the process
Most probably they will do it before September when the new migration process is due.

Already opened a ticket. Just waiting now for the transfer to happen and my PC account to become 12 billion or so richer and have access to the paint jobs/bobbleheads/shipkits I bought.

OK wrinkle in the works has shown up on the Incomplete first version that leaked of a version of the form to move accounts...
You need FID codes for console accounts and they are not announcing any other location but in game usage...

This is how they could limit Free versions for Disc you have to run the game to get the FID code so you need the console and disc//digital version ...
If the full version requires the Code Version of FID then they could block copy without the codes..
As it's not due till September for Full copy version that might change...

Looks like having to Block physical duplication Smegged up easy digital versions copying...

Well checked yesterday and my transfer was complete ... 12 billion richer and I now have access to the the stuff I'd bought on the xbox such as paint jobs, ship kits and bobbleheads.

So my Fleet Carrier upkeep is now covered for a little over 14 years.
