Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion and Update 3 Coming June 14 2022

Frontier, I was very excited for this, but this is actually the first time that I'm genuinely disappointed. I've paid for literally every DLC, but this time, I'm left with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, and scrolling through the replies on this post, I'm not the only one. I LOVE what you do, and what you've created here, but as a longtime player and fan of JWE (since you announced the first game in August 2017), I'm not happy this time.

Yeah, Dominion brings A LOT of dinosaurs to the table (woohoo), but this game was intended to tie in with the third installment of JW... and it's fine that you put your employees' work behind a paywall, I get that, but to put it behind a paywall and not include all the species? That's not great at all. I hope that the genuine reactions have reached you. It's a great game, but I was really counting on the Dominion species (at least important species: Atrociraptor is heavily featured in the marketing!!) at launch of JWE2. It's been a disappointing day.

I believe there was never a “part 2 cut from the base game at launch to avoid spoilers” because Frontier confirmed in an interview on Newsweek magazine that the base game’s campaign is made to be integrated within the film timeline “canon”, to serve as their prequel story to the upcoming Dominion film, which I’ve shared countless times here in the forums.

So, the rumor that the base game campaign was short because it was cut down to avoid Dominion spoilers is just fundamental false.

That’s why I didn’t initially think there would be a feasible campaign addition to anything Dominion related coming in-game, taking place before or during Dominion’s events. But now that I’ve been proven wrong in some way, I don’t know for sure if this campaign follows the same “canonizing” approach as the base game. If so, I wonder how plays out?
I would believe that if the really short campaign did not end the way it did it was very obvious that it was cut short

What a contrast it is: making this account to ride on my sense of hype in February 2018, and now coming back to make sure Frontier knows how disappointed I am.
I guess it is what it is.

Was hoping for all species featured in the new movie. Kind of disappointing. A big dlc would alliw more than 4 new species.
That is what we were all expecting. Guess it is our fault that our expectations were high, its not like they did not give us a huge free update earlier this year that we thought this DLC was going to at least top. My bad for thinking they where heading in the right direction this time. Guess i will still play with the baby JP3 Pteranodons that they gave us they are not much bigger than the Dimorphodon.

Full price for a Dominion DLC with 4 out of the 9 known new species is a joke. if it had all 9 animals and all the buildings and modes then yeah I would have gladly paid 19.99 for it but this barely constitutes the 9.99 price point just based off the large free update earlier this year alone, and the full price for the game at launch with a cut short main campaign and less content than the first game had for its story missions.

This DLC looks amazing. I've got to say that I'm really surprised about the feathered Rex getting included, since it only appears in the Dominion Prologue. A really welcome addition for sure! The new campaign and attraction building (viewing outpost) are awesome additions! Really glad they're in! Thank you Frontier! (y)
I'm really curious about the new decorations that are mentioned in the post (hopefully they'll get revealed later), and those new mechanics. Seems like this DLC and update will really spice the game up. Can't wait for 14 June :)

The missing species (Atrociraptor, Microceratus, Moros, Lystrosaurus, Dominion Allosaurus and possibly Oviraptor) seem to be reserved either for another update or DLC. I mean, there is no way the Atrociraptors won't get included, since they are practically the main "villains" alongside the Giganotosaurus in Dominion. I just wish that Frontier would be a bit more open concerning information like this.

Last but not least, it's so amusing and cringy at the same time seeing all those entitled and bitter crybabies here. It's embarrassing really. I genuinely think the 20 bucks are justified for this amount of content we're getting with this DLC.
@Jens Erik Please tell the team they're doing a great job. (y):)

Ugh... love how people seem to think a big DLC based on a movie makes them entitled to more dinosaurs... we've literally never seen a paid DLC pack with more than 5 dinosaurs (and that was only once), but somehow a full DLC with new maps, missions, buildings and so on just isn't complete without 9+ animals...

I agree, all this is sad because we know Frontier has enough power and size to deliver much more. I mean...the content delivered so far is good and interesting, and I will say more, the absence of breeding and deep water mechanics is not justifiable, since they are features highly requested since JWE1. By accepting the contract with Universal Studios, Frontier obtained access to all copyrighted content. I don't buy the story that Universal limits the content of JWE2, I say this because if Universal was that restrictive, it would be unfeasible for Frontier to have a contract with Universal. Breeding is canonical so there is no reason for it to be absent, we are tired of knowing that there are male and juvenile dinosaurs in the franchise, everyone knows that. We know that current platforms support larger maps, (except old gen consoles). Deep water mechanics is a feature that should be considered basic. Swimming animations the same thing.

So although I like the current content and this is quality content (still with some bugs to be fixed), it's really bad to see that the game could have a lot more content. I know there is still a lot that could come in the game, but certain features that are considered basic should have been in the game from the start, and this is not cool.

But it could be that things get better...I prefer to think this way (although I am also apprehensive)

I want to make it clear, that's constructive criticism. Frontier needs to think about it, and improve on that. But so far the content delivered has been fun, but unfortunately it is incomplete. Well, let's see

Dominion Biosyn Expansion it may have more content to be released, so in relation to this specific DLC, I really liked the content presented so far. This DLC is pretty cool. I need to recognize and accept that

Hello Frontier! First post on the forum for me, hurray! Sorry in advance if I make mistakes, I don't speak much english.

I'm hyped for this expansion, I've been waiting for this for a long time and I won't be disappointed I'm sure: Dimetrodon, Giga's & Dreadnoughtus Dominion skin, feathered dinos, new map (is it a new biome?), it's heavy stuff. I congratulate you !

For those who complain, understand this: if it's become paid for when it should have been part of the base game, complain somewhere else, right? Frontier has to follow the guidelines of the people who own the license: Universal.
I also expected more: the Atrociraptors (I doubt they won't be part of the DLC by the way), the Iguanodon skin from the Dominion prologue, new attractions...but I'm admiring Frontier's work already, and I know they'll have more great surprises in store.
