Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion and Update 3 Coming June 14 2022

Evolution Square did put out some interesting options on how the other species and variants would be added to the game, which these are the options.

Option 1: They aren't going to be added to the game. (the least likely option.)
Option 2: They are in the BioSyn Expansion, but Frontier is keeping them a secret. (She says that this might not be the case as all the content is most likely revealed.)
Option 3: They will be added in a separate Dominion pack but will be a paid pack. (Which would be very scummy on Frontier's half.)
Option 4: They will be added to the game in a free update on June 10th to coincide with the global release of Jurassic World Dominion, just like they did with the Fallen Kingdom and Battle at Big Rock updates.

Personally, I think the two most likely options are either option 3 or 4.

Option 2: They are in the BioSyn Expansion, but Frontier is keeping them a secret. (She says that this might not be the case as all the content is most likely revealed.)
Out of all of the options, I believe this one to be the least likely one. The Camp Cretaceous pack listed all of its content and was unchanged in the lead up to its release, despite some people holding out hope for the Sino-Spino and Smilodon.

What we're seeing listed for the BioSyn expansion is what we're getting.
Option 1: They aren't going to be added to the game. (the least likely option.)
Unlikely, but not impossible.

There have been species that were prominently featured in both the previous game and Camp Cretaceous and played significant roles in their respective titles, but for some reason have not been added to JWE2 yet.
Option 3: They will be added in a separate Dominion pack but will be a paid pack. (Which would be very scummy on Frontier's half.)
This one is a likely and very concerning possibility.

However, the biggest argument against this option would be the potential major backlash Frontier would receive if they had two paid DLC's based on the same product.
Option 4: They will be added to the game in a free update on June 10th to coincide with the global release of Jurassic World Dominion, just like they did with the Fallen Kingdom and Battle at Big Rock updates.
This is the option that I'm leaning towards, that the missing species and variants might be included as part of a tie-in update similar to what Frontier did twice for the previous game.

That way players who may not be able to get the BioSyn expansion can still have some animals from the newest film.

It feels like the prologue's prehistoric segment represents the in-universe Dominican amber, so I'm curious what we'll get out of the Dolomites.
Well, about the Dominion prologue, it technically doesn't take place anywhere in particular. Like at all, formation and continental wise.

Rumors persisted that it took place in North America simply because it's the T.Rex's origin story. But in fact the environment was intentionally meant to be completely and totally generic because it deliberately mixes late cretaceous dinos from vastly different continents and times, meant to serve only as a story telling device about what's coming in the actual movie. Stephen Brusatte, who consulted on the prologue, confirmed this on his Twitter account.

Ohh that's pretty crazy
If you remember back in JWE1, they did that for the Fallen Kingdom update which coincided with the release of the film on June 22, 2018 adding the Stygimoloch, Baryonyx, Allosaurus, Sinoceratops, Carnotaurus, and the hybrid Indoraptor for free, same thing happened with the BaBR update which they added the Nasutoceratops, so I think it would make logical sense if they added the other remaining species and variants in a free update possibly coinciding with global release of Dominion on June 10th.

FK was also a free update, 10 days after release. Honestly, that one is understandable as withheld material due to the film and game not releasing at the exact same time.

Personally, I wonder how COVID affected this game's development; perhaps if Dominion was released in 2021 as originally planned, things may had gone differently, but alas, the pandemic was an utter wrench.

Where is the Atrociraptors?

We're thinking that the rest of the Dominion species and variants will arrive in the form of a free update that will be released on June 10th to coincide with the release of Dominion in theaters, this is not confirmed though but it is a likely possibility as Frontier have done this before with the Fallen Kingdom and BABR updates. Also since this DLC is called the "Dominion BioSyn Expansion" it merely focuses on stuff relating to BioSyn.

Getting the remaining species in a free update would allow players to experience some of Dominion for free, withholding the more valuable Dominion species that are more crucial to Dominion's Biosyn scenes, so the Moros, Oviraptor, Microceratus, Lystrosaurus, Iguanodon Variant, Allosaurus Variant, Carnotaurus Skin and Atrociraptor would be free as many are easier to do I would think, the Allosaurus is the same as the Allo, Iguanodon is a fair bit different, Carnotaurus wouldn't be too hard and could be based off of Toro's skin, and the Atrociraptors are really velociraptors but different

A lot of animals still need to be included in the update.
