NEW DISCOVERY LINKS AZIMUTH TO INRA

30 MAY 3308
Pilots’ Federation ALERT
An abandoned outpost in the DG Canum Venaticorum system could reveal the true identity of the anonymous figure Salvation.
Professor Alba Tesreau, former head of research at Aegis, made a public announcement:
“An untraceable source pointed me to the DG Canum Venaticorum system with the question: Who is Salvation? A unique detail caught my attention, so I requested verification from pilots who had supported Aegis. We found a previously undiscovered research outpost once controlled by the Intergalactic Naval Reserve Arm.”
“The site contains logs which directly connect Azimuth Biochemicals to INRA’s development of the mycoid virus. As is now known, this bioweapon was used covertly against the Thargoids and drove them away from human space for decades.”
“Most significantly, I believe these logs may finally reveal Salvation’s real name and background. I urge the superpowers to halt their collaboration with Salvation while this new data is verified.”
INRA was a clandestine anti-xeno organisation formed in 3125 by the Empire and Federation. Although its mycoid bioweapon contributed hugely to the end of the first Thargoid war in 3151, INRA’s activities have since been denounced by the superpowers as illegal and unethical.
Azimuth Biochemicals was a pharmaceutical corporation secretly involved in xenological research and weapons development. Aegis has warned that Azimuth may still be active in some form, as suggested by the Project Seraph logs in HIP 22460.
Neither Salvation nor his partners at Taurus Mining Ventures have yet responded to Professor Tesreau’s claims.

The Witch's in way over his head, as is every other member of Humanity that thinks we can just Klendathu this.

The Thargoids didn't consider 3125-3151 a war; from their perspective it was a minor border skirmish.
We're like the stuff that has grown behind the fridge while they were away from their summer vacation house.

It's going to be fun watching it all catch on fire and turn into an epic disaster, though!

Just propaganda aka fake news. Salvation is true superhero who we can all trust. Also, we need to get rid of Thargoids so gamemotor has more space (hohoho) for approaching bad guys aka Guardians.

i´m not quite sure what´s supposed to be bad about this revelation?
hey look, these guys already had success once, better not trust them.
at least they didn´t try to lure a thargoid fleet towards earth.
unlike some other organisation.

Who cares if it's illegal and unethical if it kills the bugs.

I'm from Delphi and I say kill them all.

Also Salvation haz the bestest shinies.
To me with every major faction putting 100% of their efforts in fighting/defending against the Thargoids by backing Salvation is giving he/she way too much power. Salvation could decide who to save - perhaps only those systems that bend to whatever desire. Making Salvation the leader of all humanity and the remaining powers are just puppets he/she controls.

Aegis - or a grassroot effort for anyone to fight the thargoids was the right way..... not leaving our only ability to clear Thargoids from a system is with Salvation's magic weapon. We are now helpless without Salvation - with Aegis we could have created weapons to fight back.

Ok, so I was there before this was posted. I don't remember an abandoned outpost there.
Does that mean that when I hit the "system map" icon and this base doesn't show up that the map is defective or that FD never put the outpost there in the first place? Or did this get added in the last update? Or did it just get "turned on?"
You mean Nav panel on left side

Story Planet items have never shown on system map they show on Nav panel only even in EDH only days...
You need to get close to planets so that they can be scanned by ship and DSS probes..
Pilot's federation control System maps in our computers, If a group or company never release the information to pilots federation nothing is updated in the ship computer for that item... ( Many many things are hidden from pilots this way...)
Its why many many systems still have unexplored, even if in the bubble, as that system is not important enough to push out any data to the Millions of Pilot federation ships...
(So items will not show on nav panel. This base, Its not a Landable port and its not a mission based planet object. It was a specific black ops base... "hidden"... by 1 corp and 1 military black ops "lets kill thargoid" group. )

Unlisted planet items needed to have planet probing done to show on nav panel and due to EDH bugs new items can fail to show untill you re-enter system after probing...
The pilots federation update the records in your computer when you hand in data at UCs at stations for credits...
The leaker of the location made the base Detectable to DSS probes on Thursday the 26 of may 2022, yes, they flicked the switch...

The curtain is finally falling and many will be able to say "I told you so" regarding Salvation being a monster.

Wonder if dropping something either Guardian or Thargoid related near the rover-sized platforms yields something. They have slots with arrows indicating they open, with my guess being cargo transfer.
I mean, the one near the 5th Data Log and near that Data Point that doesn't behave like the rest even has some red lights below the door to the left of it.

The 'Witch' raided the AEGIS mega ship Alexandria which lead to its destruction and its just been proven that the Witch and Salvation are the same person!

#AdmiralTannerwasright!
The logs certainly imply that, however as AT states the claim requires verification.
Tanner was speculating, Alba is right.

I mean, it was pretty clear that Tanner's could be an act of desperation trying to wake the galaxy from its sleepwalk. But it came in a period where the Federation had been doing some overly heavy handed stuff for a while with Nova, internal security and the resulting secession actions. So there was little hope of the herd reacting with a nuanced appreciation of the circumstances and likely motivation. It seemed like the Galnet writers had decided the Federation's only use was to be bad guys that do stoopid wrong stuff (with CMDRs, in response to weighted rewards, playing their part in guiding things on that path). It almost seems like it was all in service of the Azimuth/Salvascist storyline.
