There are bounty boards in ED? You learn something new every day.
The local news can be interesting to read, but I doubt that commander Unknown is a wiped account.. They can't be banning that many accounts all the time..
Probably these commander names are written not english.
I think players on a different platform show up as CMDR Unknown, as CMDR names are only unique to the platform they were created on.
Wow... this is news to me too... Now maybe one day if I ever get combat skills I can seek my revenge on all the punks that Ganked me for no reason, no role-play, no cargo, no missions, no affiliations... and No weapons. Just straight up 'elder-abuse'... gonna take my arthritis meds and Hunt everyone on those list. Gankers have kept me in Solo for way too long!!! It's not fair that I don't find friends to go canyon running with, or SRV racing, or mining etc, cause I can't play in open without getting killed. My one friend says I should move out of Shinrata.. I earned the right to be there, there's 3 different 'Elites' for a reason, not everybody is into combat 10hrs a day.
If that were the case the system should be known.
I know Bethesda tends to ban accounts in 'waves' so a few showing up at the same time might be expected.
I don't think cmdrs from other platforms show up at all, unless the well known PS griefers are among the most prolific in the game...

Anyways.. You are the one sticking to Solo. Open is not as dangerous as you think. Yes if you are bound to live in Shinrarta. But that too is on you.
OT: A relog might fix the names (ninja'd)
You will not see my commander name in the game, because it is written russian. It is the same with explored planets, if the name is not written english, just an empty place, did not notice? You can see it only in the appropriate localization.
This has to do with the odyssey/horizons split and bounties getting transferred from the ship to the commander and/or being paid off differently.
I never bothered to accurately figure out how it happens.
I've seen Russian names before.
It's the Résistance! The Résistance always covers its tracks and strike with sudden surprise.
It might be their name.
Or even CMDR Sir Not Appearing In This GameCould be related to CMDR Validating as well.
