Need a FC? Do this:

I've never complained that CGs weren't paying.

I've frequently complained that money is worthless because there is too much of it.
I mean, whether it was true or not before, now it certainly is :D
Personally, I find the game to be more fun when credits are meaningful, rather than being ridiculously easy to come by, so an inflation mechanism would go some way towards addressing that.

I agree, honestly. This CG ruins all sense of progression a new player can have. It's not like I think ED should be a big credit grind where you spent months grinding just so you can afford a ship, but having a FC worth of money in literally one evening is slightly unbalanced.

Same exact thing I did... (5.4 billion). it feels awesome to be in 'my own house' now. Thank you for bringing this to our attention GroG79... But now I gotta go back, these FC services seem to add up very quickly. Feel like I need to make another 10 billion before the CG is over to add ALL services and have the bank insured lol
Nah, even if you add every single service you'll need in total 10 billion for the carrier, all services and money for two whole years of upkeep. If you select your services a little bit more carefully 7.5billion should be plenty.

And yes, the interior really makes you feel like you finally have a true home. :D

You (and I) were playing the game at a time when Credits were more meaningful than they are now. The game has evolved in several ways over time, generally making many existing challenges easier but also introducing new ones.

If a player wants to progress quickly using advice from more experienced players to fast-track their way through the progression gameplay they can, they have always been able to to achieve whatever the best rate of progression was available at the time. They are playing the way they want to, and it is not up to anyone (other than maybe FDev) to try to influence that decision to 'skip the actual game'.

Provided those in the community that choose to fast-track are not also complaining that the game is shallow & lacking in content (the process of discovery they fast-tracked through) it is not a problem, only players playing how they like just as with any other choice.

The way the game is currently does still allow those that prefer to find out things for themselves to progress in such a way that the accumulation of credits can still be meaningful for some time.

I don't think adding an inflation mechanism that values in-game assets based on the extreme rate of accumulation that is possible with the best gear and the right knowledge would be of benefit to all, only those who choose to fast-track.

Question is, do I need any more credits than I currently have now?......which is 12+bil in readdies🤑

I just filled up my Carrier with Tritium, for my next Exploration trip - after update 12 settles down next week.

Should I join in with this CG & use my fuel reserve's:unsure::unsure:

after your exploration trip the bubble might have recovered... Perhaps

The first 100ly was already stripped clean in under two days

So, here's a thought. Maybe the insane profits are not FD having messed up but... wait for it.... they are planning on releasing Fleet Carriers Mk2, which cost 15 billion, and have double the number of landing pads!!!!
Cynically, I think they track player engagement/player drop-off and they want to get FCs into the hands of players before Starfield hits. Can't buy FC cosmetic if no FC.

Either way I don't mind. I myself was getting doubtful as to whether or I would end up getting the credits to get one. I may not bother to get one. If I do get one I know exactly what I have planned to do with it and it will be useful and not basically a troll to all who dock at it like a lot of these are.
