Are you Cmdr Thrust from Bradford?5 more hours before Tuesday is over in my part of the world.
Thanks, sometimes all you can do is laugh, and laugh and laugh . . .One of the devs tried to land a Cutter on a FC using the dc...
along with the other effects of reduced thruster performance on everything.Betting what won't get fixed:
Cutter dc landing on FC
I haven't seen that problem for absolutely ages.Docking port 90 snap rotation on exit from SC (misaligned hologram)
I think that is a feature.Python almost impossible to use for manual cargo scooping
Missing size 4 turreted weapons.Misaligned approach to docking port

I feel for them on some of these as they are not a universal issue, ive never had a problem with Auto Dock on my cutter in ports or fleet carrier.Betting what won't get fixed:

I could go a week or 10 days without having an issue. Then the next week it's every single time. There will be a lot of traffic and for some reason any time auto tries to leave a smaller ship comes flying in causing the auto dock to suddenly reverse, raise up and bash me into the wall.I feel for them on some of these as they are not a universal issue, ive never had a problem with Auto Dock on my cutter in ports or fleet carrier.
However it very rarely auto launches successfully from starports.
Auto-docking with FCs on Cutters works great for me: first it lines up with one side of the docking pads so I can get a good view, then it slowly arcs over to the other side of the docking pads - so you get nice views of both flanks of the FC. Then it magisterially (and slowly) centres itself over the pad and lands. It takes a few minutes - but what price immersion?I feel for them on some of these as they are not a universal issue, ive never had a problem with Auto Dock on my cutter in ports or fleet carrier.

Yes, the latest version is a show-off!Auto-docking with FCs on Cutters works great for me: first it lines up with one side of the docking pads so I can get a good view, then it slowly arcs over to the other side of the docking pads - so you get nice views of both flanks of the FC. Don't try to download the update. That's impossible. Only try to realize the truth.Indeed. Some of us are certainly already starting to dream of a flawless U12, while this game will never be 100% bug-free (as is usually the case with complex software). U12 will not change anything significant in this respect. At best a few of the known bugs less, but then also with new bugs that are not immediately discovered on day one. So enjoy the illusion while it is still alive.
Patience is all you need...

I thought the docking computer failure was a feature..... it was certainly a thing in the past elite games with a definite chance of destruction (iirc a faster processor in your computer helped things back then)Betting what won't get fixed:

Hey don't knock it i once had a docking computer attempt to ram through the bottom of my FC to get to a landing padAuto-docking with FCs on Cutters works great for me: first it lines up with one side of the docking pads so I can get a good view, then it slowly arcs over to the other side of the docking pads - so you get nice views of both flanks of the FC. And an Apex Interstellar ought to be able to avoid the exclusion zone of a Red Dwarf....but here we are.An elite pilot should be able to dock your ship really quick.
the fact of the matter is we dont really have npc crew. I really wish we did..... there are lots of cool things they could add RP wise if we did have them, and indeed FD themselves back in the day detailed what they considered a bare minimum which they considered acceptable for said crew.... it was a great idea and i hope one day they reconsider their decision to cutting room floor them. It's a shame the NPC crew we hire can't dock and launch ships. An elite pilot should be able to dock your ship really quick.
NPC crew don't play the game, they play the person playing the game. My NPC crew member is worth 4 billion and has been idle for years.I would like if my NPC crew can play the game instead of me!
