Wake up for the Devs

The primary diff between NMS and ED is the devs there managed to release things that all players could enjoy. Sadly ED decided to try something different. CQC, Powerpants, PMFs, Squads, FCs barely averted by making them available for all. That's like 4-5 years of bad decisions. Then they finally turned it around but their engine crapped out!

Wake the devs up, before you go-go.
Don't leave me hanging on playing Solo

OP's point is for ED to receive more resources. Such a huge 1:1 galaxy. I would also love to see more happening to it.
He didn't say that at all. His point was that he wants more 'engaging and interesting gameplay' rather than something only a minority wants.

He could've also said 'make Elite so that I like it more'. I believe we all want that. It's neither constructive nor does it make any sense.
'Look at NMS how successful they are, now do the same and do what most people want'.

You should work as a business consultant!

Strange that OP!

I've not played NMS in well over a year now (bought from Steam), yet I have played Odyssey almost every single day......but bought that direct from Frontier's store

Added: Gonna have to modify my usual comment here...........Lies!, Damn Lies!, Statistics!, Politicians!, Steam Charts! :ROFLMAO:

The other offerings are relevant because they are the projects FDEV is investing more resources into instead of ED.
You are aware that Lemnis Gate and Chaos Gate are produced by other studios, and that Frontier are just publishers for those games? (So essentially just market them)
... and that it is no longer just DBOBE sitting coding in the garage, but a nice building with hundreds of employees all busying themselves with 'various projects'.

Shame FDev can't hire id Software or Epic Games to make them a game engine and tools for Elite Dangerous, the Cobra engine seems to be struggling.

It's easier to do NMS than it is to do Elite given Elite's realism. That's not to diminish what they've done over there at Hello, though. They've done some incredible stuff. I think Hello is probably more effective than Frontier, and successfully converting more work into shippable substance.
Completely this
The OP forgets one major thing, NMS is Nothing like EDO, my 8 year old plays NMS hes a decent gamer for his age and picks things up very quickly but then those sort of games are designed to pull in all age ranges with their cartoony theme.
EDO is a different kettle of fish and in my experience (and my sons) a whole different animal, and long may it continue

and they're not bloated by countless community managers that do god knows what.

I play and enjoy both games. but they are very different and i like differnet things about them. NMS i jump into more just for a bit of fun. Elite is still my core game that i keep coming back to.

My suggestion if we want to cash on in some of the NMS popularity - add the base building that was in the project watson leak a few years back. Allow us to build bases on planets across the galaxy. (and possibly teleport between them?) :)

And here we go again, the army of white knights against the doom guys. Orr should I simple say, some real and honest critics to guys who couldn’t accept the fact that elite is a shrinking trademarked. Compared to other IP‘s in the space game genre, it’s a fact that elite loose the ground against every greater name, and this is a FACT. So life with that, instead of defending them.
