It is, it kinda strange that they didn't at least do the orangutan since Branchiation is a huge thing they do and is missing in the game.It also seems that the Orangutan won't have access to it to begin with, which is a massive disappointment

Considering that 3 of the 4 habitat animals in this pack can use existing rigs with very minor editing, I feel like there could have been time to look into the orangutang, but of course, the team might be busy with future updates already.I said it before, but I think making Orangutans branchiate is akin to making an entirely new rig rather than a new animation. They may not deem the effort worthy.
After a bigger update often a smaller update was following like it was with deep diving or also the use of burrows. So perhaps in autumn one of the update contents could be brachiation for older species? We will see but it would really be nice of the Orang Utan could use it.Considering that 3 of the 4 habitat animals in this pack can use existing rigs with very minor editing, I feel like there should have been time to look into the orangutang, but of course, the team might be busy with future updates already.
That's using your noggin. I never thought of that. It makes perfect sense, honestly; this is a brand new feature, and we all know that climbing itself can be glitchy/tricky, so better to iron out the wrinkles with 1 animal and then add itI just had a thought, maybe frontier is going to let the community play test the Branchiation behaviour with the gibbons first. After all, everyone knows how glitchy both the swimming and climbing can be so maybe they want to see how this new behaviour works for us, in our game versions and different setups, before going ahead giving it to the other primates
Or spider monkeysCheers to that. I also think there is a good chance dor us to get another species of Gibbon since the new rig is already done and Frontier performed this practice before with penguins and otters.
Hopefully, I would love them in my zoosOr spider monkeys
Without dlc this enrichment item is kinda useless
This new climbing frame enrichment can be used by your animals that can make use of thin climbing pieces.
Maybe I misunderstood the info, but I think this new enrichment can be used as normal climbing structure by all the animals that can use the thin logs (so all the primates, cats, bears, koala, red panda and binturong). They won't swing with brachiation, but I would not consider the structure useless if it adds more climbing options for so many animals.
It's brachiation. No 'n' in there my man.branchiation
I hope so. Oh how I hope so.Update for orangutans, so they can brachiate. Without dlc this enrichment item is kinda useless.
Thanks! English is not my first language, and I would never notice. "Branchiation" makes a lot more sense though. It's brachiation. No 'n' in there my man.![]()
A bit of knowledge sharing would be nice. I haven't gotten around to try it out myself yet.I was thinking it might be a good idea if people shared what works and what doesn’t work with the climbing frame pieces.
For example, what’s the smallest combination of pieces people have found in which brachiation is possible?
Havent done it myself, but someone posted a picture where they did exactly that with the bamboo pieces and said it worked just fineA bit of knowledge sharing would be nice. I haven't gotten around to try it out myself yet.
Does anyone know if it is possible to cover parts of the metal climbing structure with other pieces like logs or so, without it obstructing the Siamangs use of the climbing structure?
