CG predictions...

So, high probability of an Azimuth-centered CG tomorrow? Better keep an eye on megaship flight schedules & Azimuth faction statuses.

T Tauri has been corrected and returned to Home system for Azimuth... Maia has been rejected...
Aegis has had their throw toys out of pram hissy fit to press. so its all set for her to go rebel and try to give the weapon tech to hudson for a second time as the first hudson backed attemped failed...

Wars and mega ship changes could go live today but its just as likely to be a decoy and there could be week off and then the CG events next week when there fully ready...

Railroading a story on a predefined path at it's finest.
The time to knock it off this course was when Tanner attacked TMV/Azimuth back in November. Completely fair CG in terms of rewards, quantitative setup, etc. and Azimuth won 6:1.

Or perhaps further back, when Aegis and Salvation went head-to-head to secure the Proteus site in July ... and Salvation won 20:1.

Sure, now the consequences of those collective decisions are playing out at a rather different level and there's not much we can do about them. Doesn't mean that there wasn't an option.

... also doesn't mean that there won't be a third chance later, though I don't see that there needs to be and wouldn't predict one in the short term.

Superpowers Stand with Azimuth

The Alliance, Empire and Federation will continue collaborating with Salvation and Azimuth Biotech on anti-xeno operations.
Political journalist Conrad Sterling reviewed the latest developments for Vox Galactica:
“We now know the truth: Azimuth not only survived, but was responsible for many controversial activities. It contributed to the mycoid virus’s development, coordinated with Black Flight and oversaw Project Seraph. Now, this notorious organisation enjoys the trust of all three superpowers to eliminate the Thargoid threat.”
“Vocal members of the Assembly, Congress and Senate have called for everyone at Azimuth Biotech – formerly Taurus Mining Ventures – to be arrested as criminals. Professor Alba Tesreau has demanded justice for the crew of the Alexandria, which was sabotaged by Azimuth to obtain its cargo of Guardian artefacts.”
“But Allied, Federal and Imperial leaders have all deferred to their militaries to determine a course of action until the current war’s end. Their perspective can be summed up by Admiral Maxton Price’s comment: ‘Without Salvation’s superweapon, we will be locked in conflict with the Thargoids forever.’”
“Many still claim that the INRA outpost at DG Canum Venaticorum was faked by Aegis loyalists. Others noted that Salvation did not confirm that he is Caleb Wycherley, and is potentially a far younger man building upon his predecessor’s research.”
“The reality is that the momentum of Salvation’s campaign is now too strong to be diverted. As is often the case during wartime, legality and morality have been set aside to focus on achieving victory. Azimuth has done more than just survive: it has triumphed.”

So what options does that leave open?
Leaves...
The news was a decoy and nothing happens till next week for salvation and another CG runs instead
Or it leaves moving an aegis mega ship in on thursday down time and it being a cargo anti blockade CG for salvation...
Or No CG and a week off... While assets move locations and next week on wednesday the wars are started..

T Tauri has 2 megaships allready in station for defence...
Adding a rival mega ships for wars next week so that CMs can also live stream the war would be easy...

Azimuth fighting for Oyawale Nutrition Biome, Merope and Carrusco Biochemical Facility, Qarato.
Yep that allready started Native BGS wars... No hand of god zero - zero status wars..

So what options does that leave open?
There isn't a lot obvious for a CG this week, I agree.

Merope or Maia could be used as war targets for Azimuth - they have megaships there, plenty of other factions which could at least use a neutral station as a bonds hand-in site, still just about time to enable the conflict state ... but it feels unlikely.

Maybe something with Ram Tah / Tesreau to research the superweapon further? Or a Thargoid attack, leading to a CG next week where Azimuth is trying to deploy the superweapon and someone else is trying to stop them?

Could have some exploration or data CG for Delaine trying to hunt down the Blue Vipers.

Back to Federal politics for a bit as Hudson, Winters or Rackham sponsors some public-interest project to build support ahead of the election?

I'd go with something around Rackham as it's about time

Mr Rackham added that it will take several weeks to prepare his manifesto and campaign team. It is unknown whether he intends to form a new political party or stand as an independent candidate.

With all the revelations about Salvation - I'll bet there's a last ditch chance for the community to stand up against Salvation. But in the end, everyone will go for profit instead.

There is an active BGS fight against the faction ongoing already. But if it becomes a CG, the rewards will decide again. Many players simply don't care for the story, don't read the forums, consider the story predetermined, so might as well go along with it.
