What do you think is the animal most likely to be in the game by the end of the game's run?

Much like we had with the Capybara and Leopard, this is one pick - one animal. Doesn't have to be your #1 choice, but is the one animal you think Frontier is most likely to get in the game. Tell me why too if you'd like.

I believe that the most likely animal to come in the game's run is the Red River Hog. It's extremely common in zoos, fairly well known, highly requested and would give us only a third pig-type species. Granted one is from Africa already, but over all this is not a family that has a lot of representation in the game.

My bet would be the Tasmanian Devil. They're a unique animal, unlike anything we have in the game right now, and they're also at the very top of the meta wishlist, so there's clearly a player demand for it. Not to mention, the last two packs we've had have included animals that were at the #1 spot on the meta wishlist, with the Capybara, Przewalski's Horse, and Amur Leopard, so Frontier is clearly using it for inspiration.

I always thought, basically from day one, that a baboon would be a given one day. Doesn't matter if Hamadryas Baboon, Gelada or another species; it just seems like such an essential and popular zoo animal that Frontier wouldn't pass up.

If we're talking meta-wishlist here, I think out of the Top 20 we can realistically expect the dromedary, the emu, the maned wolf, red river hog and wolverine, of course depending on the number of packs still left. Not quite so sure about tasmanian devil, porcupine and sloth, but those have really good chances of getting in too.

I also have a feeling that the Spectacled Bear will still make it into the game at some point.

Hmmm... picking just one is tricky....

I actually think a three-toed sloth sp. perhaps - its just such a specifically unique animal and you can't really substitute it much, as they're more iconic than the two-toed options.

There are a couple of other things - I think it very likely we'll get an armadillo sp and an old world porcupine sp for similar reasons, but I can't lower it down as much.

Maned wolf.

I like the animal, but it also ranks high on the wishlist. It represents a mostly unexplored region of South America. It is a beautiful but odd looking canine. And it is an iconic animal that only exists in South America. There is nothing like it anywhere in the world. And it doesn't require a new rig (probably), so the difficulty of creation is relatively low.

I could easily see it included in a Grasslands animal pack, or a Cerrado pack, or a South American animal pack. Or a Cats & Dogs pack. Options.

I could say the emu, maned wolf, or Tasmanian devil here, but honestly: it's the lar gibbon. Hands down. I think there's practically no possible chance they don't reuse the gibbon rig and all the effort that no doubt went into brachiation. Only way I can envision us not getting the lar gibbon is if we get the less popular white-cheeked gibbon, and we've already got one less popular gibbon.

The Emu is for me the animal which I think it is the most likely we will see in the game One day. There are some others I am also sure we will get but I will stay for one animal.
Yeah, Emu would probably have been my second pick. I’d probably have chosen it if not for all the dromedary signage. I think it’s probably the most generic / staple zoo animal currently missing from the rostrer.

dromedary camel, black rhino, and musk ox. I hope this game will last till 2029 with 4 DLC each year, possible a big expansion for aquarium and aviary. Then afteer 2029 then just DLC bigger DLC each xmas. All we need to do is to keep buying. They have no competition.

As others have mentioned, Tasmanian Devil feels extremely likely because it now sits at the top of the meta-list. And Frontier has consistently introduced a “top of the charts” species with every pack for over a year now. Others that also feel really likely because of their relatively easy nature to introduce and apparent popularity are the Emu, Dromedary Camel, and Maned Wolf. Personally speaking, none of these three species are top-priority for me, but I know the odds are we will see them at some point. People really want them and they’d be far easier for Frontier to implement than most highly requested species.

Speaking more broadly than species, I think we will also be seeing an additional brachiating primate in future DLC. It’s anyone’s guess what the exact species will be (could be a spider monkey or even another gibbon) but I definitely think it’s coming. To date, no new animal mechanic has only been used on one species, and all animal mechanics have been used in multiple DLCs.

Great timing for this thread, as before the Conservation DLC I think "another Leopard species" would have been the obvious choice. Now that we have the Amur Leopard, the Horse and a Gibbon species, it opens this up quite a bit.

There are A TON of animals that come to mind when I think of probable inclusions to the game(depending on how many more DLCs we get of course). Only 1 rose to the top for me, and that is the Maned Wolf. It's so highly requested, and we know how much Frontier loves doing canines.

Yeah that kind of was where I was thinking on that. Prior to the Wetlands pack, it was almost a 100% given we were getting a Capybara. Before Conservation, we were almost as sure, if not quite as sure, that we would end up with a true Leopard at some point. I think we're now at the point that we can't really be quite as sure with the remaining animals and spot. A lot of it does depend on how much content we get -2 packs, 4 packs, 6 packs or even more...but that's why I wanted to think about that one particular animal - feeling like Frontier would almost certainly find a way to get that one in somehow.

A lot of good choices here, the Dromedary, Emu, Tasmanian Devil, another Gibbon (given the logic of using the Siamang rig, I think that's a pretty safe bet), along with others. I think we've got a good list of "I'm surprised this is not in the game yet" even without feeling like it's a non-negotiable "has to be in the game" type of animal.

Yeah. We are at the point where just about every major zoo animal - with the exception of Birds and Fish - are represented in the game, whether directly or indirectly(such as the African/Asiatic leopard species being represented by 3 different Asian Leopards).
There are still a few quintessential zoo animal types not in game, such as Porcupine and Armadillo, or Chameleons and other small Lizard species as exhibit animals, but I agree that I don't see any animals that I would put in the "Has to be in the game" category any more.
