I ground my way thru to Duke status, but cant get a Navy mission to spawn. I have kept jumping back and forth taking missions, but no navy missions appearing. Tried solo, open, log out, etc. ...any tips on how to make one appear? thx, cmdrs!
Just an FYI - you never need an interdictor for assassination missions.it just gave me an assassination mission, which i took, but i had no FSD interdicter to bring him down, and he didnt jump me
thanks, I did that. That blue signal source did not appear. I have done hundreds of assassination missions. I saw the target in contacts when I jumped into the system, but it did not interdict me, and when I scanned the nav beacon it had disappeared. Not even sure I will buy a Cutter; I have a tricked out Corvette that I use for combat... guess I just missed The Grind! I even flew the DBX back out to the crystal shard planets to top off raw mats again.Just an FYI - you never need an interdictor for assassination missions.
1) Go to the Nav Beacon and scan it in the target system. The target sometimes drops in with you, so watch out
2) Go back into supercruise - look for a blue signal source - head there to find the assassination target
ofc the target may interdict you while doing (1) or (2), so stay alert.
The only reason that might happen would be if the target fled to a different system. Which would still not need an interdictor, just the ability to drop into a wakethanks, I did that. any tips on using the interdicter? specifically, getting behind the target w/o it constantly flipping back behind you...The only reason that might happen would be if the target fled to a different system. Which would still not need an interdictor, just the ability to drop into a wake![]()
The Cutter is not to everyone’s taste as a combat ship, I use mine as an armed merchant ship although its capacity isn’t much different to a T9 if the haul involves several runs with more than three jumps loaded then its better range and speed give it an edge.thanks, I did that.
