Nobody here despises SC, I shall say again....IT'S A COMPUTER GAME! (of sorts, but really a pre-alpha) It's simply not something that word is applicable to, it just doesn't work, again you seem to be projecting or imagining something that doesn't exist. I save my hate and derision for subjects that deserve that emotion, and that's not computer games, I am sure others here do also.

The entertainment value. It is literally entertaining for me to peek from time to time behind the curtains of a broken business model. Business failures, scammers like that Theranos girl, unethical marketing practices, employee mistreatment, marketing pyramids, Ponzi schemes, predatory financial institutions, business empires collapsing, the insane world of venture capital - I find all of them fascinating.

CI, as a company, is uniquely positioned in this broadly defined area - like fusion cuisine taking a bit of inspiration from here and there. And they are a gaming company (allegedly), which to me hits another area of interest.

In a way, SC indeed is one of a kind. Plus, I really wanted to play my copy of SQ42, unfortunately that won't happen anyway.

But one thing that I do not feel in this context, is hate. This I reserve for a very limited set of things that are definitely off topic here.

BTW, I am also passionate about architecture and can explore and talk about it for hours. Yet, I haven't built, or designed, a single building in my life.

A laugh that for some make them compulsively collect thousand of posts/images/videos of all that can show in bad light SC. It's certainly represent hundred of hours of life wasted for a game they don't and will never play.

Some here are just haters spending an insane amount of time hating the game. Funny to see them explaining why it's normal, comparing it to what fans do, missing the key fact they are not fans.
No problem for me, extreme haters spend a lot of time hating and you find extreme haters for subject in life. Still weird 😅
