Ideas For Interspecies Enrichment

Here are a few ideas I have for interspecies enrichment in Planet Zoo:

Baird's Tapir & Giant Anteater with Llama

Mandrill with Pygmy Hippo

California Sea Lion with Grey Seal

North Sulawesi Babirusa with Asian Small-Clawed Otter

Do you guys have any ideas for other interspecies enrichment?

I have to be honest and say that I quite like that so few species are actively enriching to each other but that many will tolerate other species. That's just a personal thing based on my experience with working with animals - multi species habitats are more often for the visitors than the animals and can often cause minor stress (you can argue that in itself can be enriching because having to think about not making another species grumpy enough to kick you etc. gets the brain going).

For that reason the only animals I would like to see get more interspecies enrichment are the really curious and generally bold ones e.g. meerkats, a lot of the primates, seals, maybe penguins. But what I would really like is for those to be one sided - meerkats being enriched by other species but that not necessarily being mutual would be an accurate reflection of how annoying they can be to others I think! I don't think they would take this route because it would be confusing for casual players who would think that it meant they should be put together but that would be my ideal.

In your examples I think the llamas would be happy to have both but the anteater and tapir might not. The barbirusa might not be as happy as the otter.

Eh some of your suggestions don’t add up
Grey seals are from the Atlantic
California Sea Lions are from the Pacific
Llamas aren’t a tropical species
When I made a post predicting stats and requirements for our wetland animals, someone said this
Babirusa - at Audubon, Jacksonville and Chester; this mix only works if the two species are non-breeding, as they attack and kill each other's young
I support Pygmy hippo and mandrill enrichment
Apart of me thinks the red River hog will make it, watching an episode of The Zoo I noted and liked how the Bronx Zoo has Mandrills with Red River Hogs.
I always put reindeer with dall sheep as they live in close range in Denali National park (I used to live and work there).
I think all SEA herbivores should get enrichment.
While I like to add the okapis with nyala and bongos, they don’t exactly share the same range so I understand their lack of bonus.
I have added Gemsbok with Fennec foxes, they get along fine. maybe fennecs can coexist with Scimitar oryx.

A bit off-track to the topic; have anyone seen real life example of tapir/elephant mixed exhibit that can be seen in planet zoo?
Yes, when I was a child in the 1970s they had for a short time a combined tapir (I think it was the malayan tapir, if that's the one that is called "Schabracken Tapir" in german) togethr with indian elephants in my local zoo. At that time it was a very modern habitat consisting of a (much too small) beton "island" surrounded by a beton moat. I don't think the tapirs were very happy. They spent most of their time down in the moat, trying to hide.

Wow, that's awesome. Is it possible to share the name of the zoo to us , please? Danke mein freund😊

It's the Erlebniszoo Hannover. Gerne :)
There is a foto, but it is from the summer 1970 taken by my dad. It's some time before the tapirs were added, but you can see part of the "island" and the moat.
There are no fotos from the later 1970s sadly, because my mother threw them away some years ago, because you couldn't see anything on them any more, because those kodak-fotos faded over the years into reddish-sepia and held no contrast anymore.
