I'd ignore this.
If we want immershun and "more safety", we must be ready for some compromises.
Imagine F1 drivers who want cage arount their heads, but also a nice and clear view like in the 80s. Nope.
I also added in the supporting response to this design too, including the quote “I actually dont mind the industrial looking view. It fits in with its purpose - exploding rocks”

If you don't see your point of feedback on here, don't worry! I keep circling aorund the thread and have written a lot more down in my actual notes, I just wanted to summarise some top ones here.
Any chance we might be able to apply different paint jobs we own to the ship kits, in the future? I would love that kind of flexibility in customization.

Has Pilots Fed NCAP tested the cages for tangleability though?

Having cages / bull bars, pointy outy bits and per polygon collision might make some landings with lamp-posts (looking at you Krait wing forks) and other station cutlery a bit of a 'salad in the braces' moment.

In agreement here and to be honest it's not actually that bad (but then I spend most of my time in an FdL).

Spend a not insignificant amount of Arx on a ship kit and it is nice to see the change it makes from the cockpit.

In the case of the Krait Mk II, it is. The two crescent shaped bumpers in the middle of the cockpit view at top have a bright silver finish that reflects a TON of light into your face at certain angles. Something needs to be done about that. Maybe a black matte finish of some kind that doesn't reflect light nearly as much like the finish on WWII aircraft.

Argghh ... really torn on this. The hazard look in yellow would be just perfect for a nice chunky industrial looking mining ship but alas my main miner is the Krait Phantom not the Mk II. Do I re-outfit a Mk II as a miner or do I wait for these to come out for the Phantom? And the cost is around £8 so it's not an entirely trivial matter to just get both. Decisions decisions.

The Mk II is the better mining ship. The Phantom handles a very tiny bit better, but the Phantom also has one of the Mk II's 6 slots downgraded to a 5 slot and a 4 slot downgraded to a 3.

Frankly though, I wouldn't use either to mine. If I were going to mine with a medium ship it would be the Python. It's far superior to either one of the Kraits.

In fact, it's the ship I used to mine for the money to get my Imperial Cutter, which is of course the end all be all mining ship.

Duly noted, thanks. Can't remember why I picked the Phantom over the Mk II, probably a fairly arbitrary choice (for example, I chose a Krait for mining because looking out those windows either side of you and seeing those big mining tools hanging down there is just awesome - and that was about it :)).
