This sometimes happens when the server is still down but it still lets you log in. It cannot find your cmdr because the server they are stored on is offline. The game crashes if you try and start with that sidewinder because it cannot connect.Your cmdr should still be safe just wait for the server to come up.

Na its called prerendered video (would have been virtually all the down load as a video file) thats what low powered PCs look like on Geforce now.... lol

Nope Zero feature update for horizons on Console was allready announced and thats a feature update...
We get nothing hencce the free account copy to PC.. as we get nothing on console and any bugs added will take to november to remove.....

Those of us on consoles (and PC players that stick with version 3.8 , rather than upgrading to 4.0 for that matter and/or those who didn't buy Odyssey), got a nice pre-rendered video and absolute scraps besides, while we'll get even less from now on!
Even of the damn Odyssey only changes and improvements, 95% of seemed to be "normal" ship based bug fixes and improvements, which I can see no logical reason they couldn't do in all versions of the game, which I wouldn't consider actual development - they're holding basic things behind a paywall that most of us can't access or don't want to access...
I for one, don't have a PC powerful enough to run Odyssey, while I don't want to play on PC even if I did!
We can only hope that Frontier change their minds and release the game in full, along with Odyssey on the "next gen" systems, before too long, while releasing everything that they can on "last gen".
The game in general, needs more ships, more variety and more to do, particularly "in the black"....
While cross play would be great too, say PS5, Series X and PC 4.0 players playing together, while PS4, Xbox One and PC 3.8 players play together :O

.I'd rather have a PS5 release of Odyssey as a new game but if I can get the frontier version of the game to work with my PS5 controller it would be next best for me.
Hopefully it's not just a coincidence, but today was the first day on PS5 without a CTD. Numerous jumps, lots of supercruising from site to site in HIP 22460, dozens of CMDRs - and the game just ran perfect

Only if those bugs are making the game unplayable. When FDev dropped console support they also said they're only working on critical bugs for consoles.
Hopefully they change their minds, SOMETHING might change with Elite's development (or of course might not), with David Braben changing roles within the company - maybe they'll refocus and restart console development.
